Several Arab trade associations have announced the boycott of French products, protesting the recent comments made by President Emmanuel Macron on Islam.

Alluding to the martyrdom of Mawlana Mohammad Adil Khan, a prominent Pakistani scholar and president of Jamia Farooqia Karachi, Sunni scholars in Iran denounced his assassination urging on identifying and trying the terrorists.

Maulana Dr Adil Khan, a religious scholar and head of Karachi’s Jamia Farooqia seminary, was shot dead along with his driver in a suspected targeted attack in the city on Saturday, officials said.

Referring to the 76-month prison sentence for Mawlana Fazlu-Rahman Koohi, a prominent Sunni scholar in Iranian Baluchistan, Mufti Mohammad Qasem Qasemi called officials to review the sentence and release him.
