A Law Should be Passed that Prohibits Insulting Sanctities of Religions

The vice-Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque strongly criticized the blasphemous acts against the holy Qur’an, and burning a copy of the holy Qur’an in Sweden suggesting approval of a law which prohibits insulting the sanctities of all religions.

He called such actions against freedom of expression and considered it insulting to two billion Muslims all over the globe.

Shaikh Badri was talking before the Friday prayers in Zahedan’s Grand Musalla on June 30, 2023.
The temporary Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan called on the international community to adopt a law that bans and prevents blaspheming religions, sects, and divine books.
“The world must deal with this ugly and sinister phenomenon,” he urged.

The holy Qur’an guides mankind to mercy and good attributes
The senior teacher of Hadith and Tafsir at Darululoom Zahedan called the holy Qur’an as a divine gift and mercy of Allah Almighty to humanity and said: “Although the present age has been advancing in technology and science, people’s problems are increasing, and they are likely to become more disappointed with life. The root of all problems is the result of our own performance. Enmity and conflicts among people create mistrust and discord. Throughout history, millions of people were destroyed through wars and clashes.”

“The prophets of Allah have been sent to rescue the humanity from the evil of the desire of soul. The path to rescue and get rid of all problems, is to follow the teachings of the holy Qur’an. To achieve tranquility, we all need to implement the teachings of the Qur’an in our lives,” Shaikh Badri referred to the spiritual effects of the Qur’an.

He added: “As Muslims, we love the holy Qur’an more than our lives. Unfortunately, in some civilized countries, some allow themselves to burn copies of the holy Qur’an, the most divine and sacred book in the world. Do not they know that Muslims love the Qur’an more than their lives?”

“Blaspheming the holy Qur’an is against the freedom of expression. Is it the freedom of expression to insult the sanctities of more than two billion Muslims? It appears that some of those who pretend to defend human rights, actually their claims are false. Almighty Allah has even forbidden Muslims from insulting the idols of the polytheists. Islam emphasizes preserving the sanctity of all religions and sects,” said the top Sunni scholar of Iranian Balochistan.

Mawlana Badri warned the dangerous consequences of blaspheming the sanctities and said: “Blaspheming the sanctities is very dangerous, and it sets a fire ablaze within the person.”

“We hope that the international community and all the people of the world including the freedom-seekers to fight this ugly phenomenon. No one should injure feelings of the people. A law should be enacted that bans blaspheming the prophets, divine books, religions, and sanctities,” the Iranian top Sunni cleric demanded.

In his last points, Shaikh Badri inspired Muslims to return to the noble teachings of the holy Qur’an to achieve their dignity and real position in the world and guide people of the world through the instructions of the Qur’an.
