Gov. should Prioritize “Reopening Borders” & “Free Zone of Sistan”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called on the government to prefer the cases of “reopening borders” and “approval of free zone of Sistan”. He was talking to the management council of Sistan-Baluchistan in the presence of president Rouhani in Chabahar.

The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid reported, Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “The people of Sistan-Baluchistan have been suffering from drought, lack of factories and agriculture. They suffer from lots of economic problems. Many of companies have been bankrupted and the government is indebted to them.”

“We have much potential in the province, but due to incorrect planning we suffer. The government should reopen the borders and approve free zone of Sistan for trade urgently. Some forbidden goods should be free in this province due to economic problems of the region,” he underlined.

The president of Darululoom Zahedan also alluded to increasing number of road accidents and causalities in Sistan-Baluchistan roads and asked for an accurate planning to resolve the problem.

At the end of his speech in the presence of Iranian president, governor Sistan-Baluchistan and some members of the cabinet, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid recommended the officials to establish a think tank of provincial elites from all classes which will focus on the issues of Sistan-Baluchistan and present working solutions.
