Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan called on Muslims to know their enemies well and termed both of the US and Russia ‘opportunist powers’. The web portal of the office of the Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan reported.
Talking to thousands of worshipers in the Grand Mosque of Chabahar city, he alluded to the presence of the Eastern and Western powers in the Middle East and said, “The US and Russia are notorious states with a black history. They may claim to defend any particular side, but in fact the Western powers have entered the region for their own interests and making Israel secured.”
“These powers oppose Islamic awakening and strive to eliminate Islamic culture. They just want to promote and implant their culture. By establishing military basis in Muslim states, they want to strengthen their power and dominance in the region,” he added more.
The chairman of the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries in Sistan-Baluchistan said, “Muslims should know their enemies well; it is a very important issue. The Muslim leaders should be vigilant and recognize their enemies’ aims. It is very regrettable and shocking to see Muslim refugees wandering in the European countries.”
“Muslims should review their stances and attitudes. I think the main reason behind all conflicts, displacemnets and occupation of the enemies on Muslim states is distance of Muslims from the Noble Qur’an and Sunnah. Muslims have been experiencing difficulties and problems; it is by the Almighty to warn Muslims,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid stated.
He went on to end up his points by saying, “Islam is the religion of temperance and sobriety. We believe in sobriety, too and call on Shias and Sunnis to avoid extremism. Going to extremism is against the interests of the Muslim world which opens the gate of the Muslim world for the enemies of Islam. Syria, Yemen and other Middle East countries have been facing problems on the excuse of extremism.”
Concluding his points, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged on the employment of ‘aboriginal forces’ in the Free Zone of Chabahar. He said, “When there is need of labors and experts, the local forces should not be neglected.”
Elimination of “Baluchistan” is a stupid act
In another part of his sermon before Sunni worshipers in Chabahar city, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid criticized the ‘efforts to eliminate the name of Baluchistan’ from the Iranian map and urged on the necessity of ethnic communities’ respect and rights.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to some moves to marginalize and eliminate the title of Baluchistan from official documents and papers and said, “The beauty of Iran is with the ethnic communities and diversity in religious and ethnical communities. All of these communities who have roots in Iran are pride of it. Their respect should be protected.”
“It is clear some that there are efforts to sideline ‘Baluchistan’. Removing Baluchistan is not in accordance with the interests of anyone. Baluch is one of the respectable and prominent ethnic communities in Iran. Baluchistan a part of history and it will remain forever. Sidelining the name of Baluchistan is an incorrect and stupid act of ignorant people,” he underlined.
Declaring the national and provincial authorities ‘opponents of sidelining Baluchistan’, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan said, “Those who want to sideline ‘Baluchistan’ are ignorant friends who proclaim to love Iran, but this act is enmity with Iran in fact. Not only ‘Baluchistan’ but sidelining of any ethnic region like Kurdistan, Azerbaijan, Loristan, Fars and etc. is a silly act. The traditions, customs, language and culture of ethnic communities should be protected.”
At the end of his speech in Chabahar, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called on the officials, especially the security authorities, should be sensitive over such movements and stop these provocative issues.
