‘Islam; religion of fraternity, equality, human generosity’

‘Islam; religion of fraternity, equality, human generosity’

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Shaikh-ul-Islam Maulana Abdul-Hameed Ismaeelzahi, began his latest Friday sermon on March 9, 2012 by recitation of holy verse: «وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَن سَبِيلِهِ ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُم بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ» [انعام: 153] (And: This is My path that is straightforward. So, follow it, and do not follow the (other) ways, lest they should make you deviate from His way. This is what He has enjoined upon you, so that you may be God-fearing.) And elaborated the facts about Islam and its importance for Muslims.

Talking to tens of thousands worshipers in the Grand Makki mosque of Zahedan, he said that Muslim nation has been called in Holy Qur’an “Haneef” or upright in Sourt-ul-An’am 161; it is one of the greatest blessings of Exalted Allah to Muslims. Islam is a religion that teaches sobriety, and it is free of excessiveness and wasting. Allah Almighty has mentioned Islam by the phrases like “Straight path”, “sober nation” and the chosen religion.
Shaikh Ismaeelzahi added more saying, ‘Islam has been selected by Allah for the entire humanity with their different cultures, languages and classes. According Islam the standard of Excellency is Taqwa, piety, and fear of God. As Allah Almighty stated in the Qur’an, Sourat-ul-Hojorat 13; but a real God-fearing, Mottaqi, never claims that he is better than others having more Excellency than others, if somebody does so, he is not a pious man rather he suffers from superior-complex and arrogance.’
Indicating towards some stories of the Prophet Muhammad’s humbleness and serenity, the rector of the biggest Islamic seminary in Iran said that Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was very demure person. He, peace & blessings be upon him, never allocated any particular place for himself neither in home nor in mosque and other public places. He used to live among other companions artlessly; many times he was not identified by new-comers due to his simplicity. He used to listen others carefully with full dignity; even it happened some times that the companions, may Allah be pleased with them, were awaiting Holy Prophet, Alaihis-Salam, to lead the prayers in the mosque while he was listening to somebody at a corner with equanimity. He was behaving with all equally; this is the ruling of Shari’ah as well.
Explaining the importance of spirituality, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah further said that spirituality is a divine gift for Muslims; this is the basis of closeness to Allah and superiority. It makes people the best and develops them in routine life. The more a person develops spiritually, the more s/he gets Allah’s pleasure.
‘Although, now-a-days materialism and wealth have become the standards of superiority over the world; as “super powers” specify particular rights for them selves treating with weaker nations swaggerly. But these restive powers and other arrogant people must know that money, property and ranks are temporary and negligible things. Real super power is the one who is equipped with the power of Eeman (faith), good morals, piety and Du’a (prays),’ Shaikh Abdul-Hameed Ismaeelzahi underlined.
He pointed that the companions conquered Caesar and Kisra by the weapon of powerful and sincere faith, sincerity, honesty and Du’a. This is the key of success.

New parliament should work according the Constitution:
The prominent Sunni leader pointed out towards the newly-held parliamentarian elections in Iran saying that the new Majlis, ninth term, should adopt all legal tools to watch the appropriate implementation of the Constitution.
He said that presence of masses at polling stations does not mean there is no any problem in the country. People cost vote to fulfill their national duty; the rulers must pay more attention to solve people’s problems.
‘The new parliament must be lawful. Lawmakers should work for all without any discrimination. There are different sects and tribes live together in the country; MPs should represent all of them,’ Shaikh Ismaeelzahi emphasized.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan added more saying that “law-elusive”, “imposing sanctions on the country” and “exercising elegance” are the most worrisome crises of the country. He underlined that economical sanctions affected the economy and income of common masses; while violation of the law and excursing of self-elegance of some powerful sides have created problems for people. Instead of implementation of the law, they have made themselves the rules and regulations. The new national parliament must impede such elements especially in frontier areas in Iran.
‘Watching appropriate implementation of the constitutional liberties is another important duty of people’s representatives in the parliament. They must be vigilant over it, so that masses enjoy their legal rights correctly,’ Maulana Abdul-Hameed urged.
He concluded his points in the Grand Makki mosque of Zahedan by saying that national unity and solidarity can be achieved only by justice and indiscriminate validation of the law.
