The head of Dar-ul-Iftaa Darululoom Zahedan termed “Qiamah” the biggest incident in the lives of mankind urging on preparation for this great day by good deeds.
Talking to tens of thousands worshippers in Zahedan, Mufti Muhammad Qasem Qasemi began his sermon of Friday, 19 Dec. 2014, by the Noble Qur’anic verse: «يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَلْتَنظُرْ نَفْسٌ مَّا قَدَّمَتْ لِغَدٍ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ*وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ نَسُوا اللَّهَ فَأَنسَاهُمْ أَنفُسَهُمْ أُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ», (O you who believe, be fearful of God. Let each soul consider what it has sent (of good deeds) in advance for the morrow, and fear God. Surely God is aware of what you do. And be not like those who have forgotten God, so that God has made them forget themselves. Such are the reprobates.), [59: 18-19]
He said, “The prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, informed us about the signs of the Resurrection Day to get us away from negligence. In fact, expressing the signs of Qiamah is an alert and warning for the Ummah; Allah says: «اقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ مَّعْرِضُونَ», (The people’s day of reckoning is drawing closer, yet they are heedlessly neglectful.), [21: 1]”
Mawlana Qasemi added more, “People are heedless of the biggest event of the life, Qiamah. The Qur’an has called this important day with different names including the ‘day of regret’. The Almighty says: «وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا* يَا وَيْلَتَى لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا* لَقَدْ أَضَلَّنِي عَنِ الذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَاءنِي وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِلْإِنسَانِ خَذُولًا», (It will be a hard day for the unbelievers. It will be a day when the unjust will bite their fingers, (regretfully) saying, “Would that we had followed the path of the Messengers. Woe to us! Would that we had not been friends with so and so. He led me away from the true guidance after it had come to us. Satan is a traitor to people.“), [25: 27-29]”
The Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan shed light on the horrible scenes of the Judgment Day and said, “Allah Almighty has described the difficulties of Qiamah clearly; He says: ‘Forewarn them of the Day that is (ever) drawing near, when the hearts will (come) right up to the throats to choke (them); No intimate friend nor intercessor will the wrong-doers have, who could be listened to.’ [40: 18] The Resurrection Day is a dangerous day as all prophets were afraid of that. It is a day wherein eyeballs and hearts will be overturned.”
“Only owner of a submissive heart that is free of evil can get salvation on the Accountability Day. A whole heart loves Allah and always thinks of the everlasting world. Thus all of us should be careful and imitate the directions of the Shari’ah,” Mufti Qasemi added more.
Chief-editor of ‘Neday-e-Islam’ magazine counted ‘negligence’ a perilous phenomenon for Muslims that weakens the will of them forbidding them from advancement towards Allah.
Shaikh Qasemi said, “Today people only believe in postponement; they delay the good works for future and some don’t purify their souls postponing it for another day. The beloved prophet has warned us about such attitude. Every Muslim should consider ‘death’, ‘relation with the Qur’an’, ‘accompanying pious people’ and ‘pray/Du’a’ for getting rid of negligence.”
At the end of his sermon, he informed the audience about the Umrah trip of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan, conveying his message over using modern sources of mass communication like WhatsApp and Viber. He said some backbite, insult and blame on others falsely by those sources which is misuse of them.
