Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan began his Friday sermon of March 07, 2014 by the Noble Qur’anic verse: «و أنکحوا الأیامی منکم و الصالحین من عبادکم و إمائکم إن یکونوا فقراء یغنهم الله من فضله والله واسع علیم» [نور: 32], (Arrange the marriage of the spouseless among you, and the capable from among your bondmen and bondwomen. If they are poor, Allah will enrich them out of His grace. Allah is All-Encompassing, All-Knowing.)

He said, “Planning for the betterment of mankind and providing all needs and necessities of human society are the mere mercies of Allah Almighty. The Almighty provides the needs of people as they could worship Him with peace of mind.”

Counting marriage one of the divine blessings, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid stated, “Marriage is one of the blessings of Allah for His servants. People cannot get peace of mind and full comfort unless they get married and establish their own families. Marriage must be for modesty and protection of human generation not for collecting more money and wealth as some people prefer rich women for this goal.”

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan pointed if any society gives importance to marriage can be developed and dynamic. But the societies neglect importance of marriage would meet evil, corruption and stain.

Khateeb of Sunnis advised the audience to decrease the expenses of marriages. He said, “Decrease the expenses of marriage to make it easy for all to get married. Illegal acts such as extravagance and squandering must be abandoned in marriage parties. If some people have further money, they should support financially needy people, arrange marriage of youth, help families of prisoners and students who need money to get further education.”

At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called on the shopkeepers of Zahedan to not sell wine and illegal things as the new Persian year holidays are near. He said Zahedan is the city of Huffadh and Ulama; here selling such things is not bearable. If someone earns money by trading wine and narcotics, he should change his job and find out any legal job.
