Proximity of Allah Depends on Piety of Servants

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed Isma’eelzahi, stated Islam was the main factor for proximity to Allah, if someone wants to be closer to the Almighty, s/he must enjoy good relations with the religion and the guidance.

Addressing thousands of worshippers in Zahedan, he initiated his Friday sermon of March 29, 2013 by reciting the noble verse: «و الذین جاهدوا فینا لنهدینهم سبلنا و ان الله لمع المحسنین» and said the most beloved thing before Allah the Almighty is Islam. The proximity of His servants also depends on the strength of connection with the religion. People’s ranks, positions, wealth and looking are not considerable before Allah; He watches intention of servants. The more someone is close to the guidance and religion, the more s/he gets proximity of Allah Exalted. According to Hadith, some people have no good looking, their disorder in dressing is obvious; but they enjoy such a great purity and rank before Allah that if they take oath on the name of Him to do something, Allah will lead and carry out the work due to his closeness.

He added more, “Nations can get proximity and status before Allah if they are pious and religious. The noble Qur’an states: يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ ﴿13﴾  (O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and Tribes, that ye may know Each other (Not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the Most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (He who is) the Most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).) Allah Almighty selects His best servants in order to preach His message. Prophets were the best and holy servants of Allah; some of them were talking with Allah directly, some were in connection via angels. Prophets were ordained to build up spiritual life of people; they faced lots of difficulties in their mission, some were slaughtered as some were detained and tortured.”

As Allah Almighty wants His chosen religion of Islam to be superior in the world, He likes to support Islam by His best servants. By a brief study we can see how many good saints sacrificed for the sake of Islam. Islam is the greatest and most comprehensive religion of Allah that guides mankind until the last moment of this world, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan urged.

He went on saying, “Despite severe efforts of Islam’s enemies, it will remain superior forever. Allah says: “They wish to blow out the Light of Allah with their mouths, and Allah rejects everything short of making His light perfect, no matter how the disbelievers may hate it.”  When you carry out our duties to preach the brilliant teachings of Islam, Allah will enhance your status and afford your expenses; although we must work hard only to get Allah’s pleasure not worldly benefits.”

Alluding to anti-Muslims propagandas across the globe, Shaikh-ul-Islam said Muslims’ faults have been being exposed by media sources to vilify Islam. If any Muslim commits any mistake or behaves unjustly, in fact he targets his religion; people would say look at Muslims’ actions!

‘We must not be part of anti-Islam campaigns; Muslims should avoid useless and bad deeds which defame Islam’s prestige and trueness. There is nothing wrong with Islam; it is weakness and misdeeds of Muslims to be handled. Muslims must not promote sins by their acts. Investing our souls and wealth, we should strive to make Islam more respectable. Everybody should make efforts to reform the society; people make ideas about Islam by watching Muslims’ deeds’, Khateeb of Sunnis underlined.

34 years after ‘Islamic Republic’; where is the nation?
In the second part of his speech, the leading Sunni scholar indicated to the ‘Islamic Republic Day’ in Iran demanding the authorities to pay more attention to the nation’s demands and look at them how many of people have sympathy for “Islamic Republic”.

Talking to tens of thousands Sunni worshippers in Zahedan, he considered “Islamic Republic Day” (1st April) a historic day for Iran. He stated referendum for the Islamic republic system in Iran was a new experience in the modern world; the entire nation including Shias, Sunnis, and different cults and sects took part in the referendum having share in their country’s fate.

‘34 years have been passed; now the ruling class of the regime must scrutinize what is the percentage of ‘Islamic Republic of Iran’s partisans? Have people achieved their legal subjects of action? What is the stance of the Shia community and what Sunnis think of their demands? As far as Sunnis is concerned, they have been present in all fields to save the sovereignty of their motherland. But unfortunately they have many serious problems; the authorities should find out the root of those problems’, the member of the IUMS added more.

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah asked the statesmen of Iran to have a look into various state-run departments, armed services, governor houses, embassies and ministries where only a few number of Sunni citizens have been engaged and in some places a single Sunni citizens is not appointed. As Sunnis of Iran are the inseparable part of the nation, they must not see a dark future for their offspring in the country. They have been seeking fraternity and unity of the nation; thus the regime must draw a bright perspective for them. It encourages oppressed Sunnis to be diligent members of an optimistic nation.

People of the province suffer from economic crises
In another part of his speech to people of Zahedan, Iran, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed highlighted the matter of unemployment in ‘Sistan-Baluchistan’ and said most of people in our province suffer from difficult situation of the economy more than other parts of the country. Sistan-Baluchistan is a famine-hit region, absence of industrial centers and factories as well as international sanctions added fuel to the fire.

He further said, “Keeping in mind the above-mentioned problems the newly-appointed governor must fulfill his promises; he had promised to make solidarity and cooperation by balancing the power, and activate the frontier markets of the province. He meant to create equality in employment between Shia and Sunni citizens. But regretfully we have seen recently the authorities closed all frontier markets of our famine-hit region. On the other side, the governor dismissed and appointed many officials without any ‘balance’ and ‘cooperation’.”

It is one of the duties of the governments to provide people jobs and employ them. The authorities must think for poor residents of the province. People have been awaiting fulfillment of the governor’s promises, Shaikh underlined.
