‘Don’t Miss Opportunities of Worships in Other Months’

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdul Hameed, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunna in Zahedan talked about the good and positive usage of time and opportunities in the other months except holy Ramadan on the first Friday after Ramadan.

He initiated his sermon by recitation of the holy verse: “أَوَلَمْ نُعَمِّرْكُمْ مَا يَتَذَكَّرُ فِيهِ مَنْ تَذَكَّرَ وَجَاءَكُمُ النَّذِيرُ” and pointed that time and timely opportunities are from greatest wealth which have been gifted to everyone by the Almighty. One can utilize time to do his material works; also, we can attain the gladness and pleasure of Allah Almighty by using our times.

Shaikh added more that many people misuse their golden time; they waste their time in plying and enjoying instead of storing some thing for the Resurrection Day. Such people would request to return to this world again; but in response they would be asked: Had not you gotten enough time to live? Had not you given sufficient time to reform yourselves and accept the reality? “Nadheer” the one who warns came to you and gave warning over the Dooms Day, but you refused! It means, everyone had gotten time to correct him\her self, but they missed the opportunity; the prophets and their followers were sent to people but they rejected them and their message. Now, the time of doing has been over and it is so late!

‘When a young became old, a person passes through a cemetery or sees a dead body; these all are warnings for that person. In fact, each angle of life is a warning for us; what ever we see in this world tells us that it is a mortal world. So we must prepare for the Accountability Day,’ the eminent Shaikh urged.

He further said that there are many old age people who still strive to gather and store more and more wealth. They do not ponder about the grave in which we would live for thousands of years. We must think about the Paradise and Hell which are ageless.

‘Time is a great wealth; it must be utilized in a good and positive way. The holy prophet (peace & blessings be upon him) said that “time” and “health” are two things which are neglected by most of people; they do not know the value of them. You can see many persons around you regretting for their lost health. So we should realize the importance of time and health, and then spend them for the betterment of both material and spiritual lives. Do something for this life and prepare for the Doomsday,’ Mawlana Abdul Hameed added more.

The rector of the largest Sunni seminary in Iran went on saying, ‘Ramadan al-mubark was a great and paranormal opportunity for us to worship Exalted Allah by prayers, fasting, reciting the Qur’an, and eating breakfast and midnight dinner (Fotour & Sohour). Now, this month has been over, but still life goes on and we can worship Allah, the Almighty forgave us in Ramadan probably, so we must not go back towards sins.’

He pointed that Satan was in prison during Ramadan and under feet, now all devils want to revenge. Be careful and abide with your repentance. Everyone should fight with his\her ego and its supporter Satan.

At the end, Shaikh counted night-prayers (tahajjud) a fruit of Ramadan. He asked ulema, students and all men and women to continue nightly worships. Night before dawn is the best time for praying and asking Allah’s pleasure and forgiveness.
