‘Drought & Insecurity; Fruits of Dissipation’

Note: Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah in Zahedan, Shaikh Abdul Hameed went to a grand masjid near Zahedan city for Friday prayers on the last Friday, 22nd July. As, Shaikh Ahmad Narui delivered Friday sermon in grand Makki mosque of Zahedan replacing Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdul Hameed.
The voice-rector of Darululoom Zahedan began his speech by recitation of some verses of Sourh Al-Israa and said that Allah Almighty has mentioned some very bright and meaningful instructions for us. If we imitate them truly, our both lives will be full of success. No one can have calm and peaceful life without adopting the brilliant teachings of the Qur’an.

He added more, ‘Human society, whether people of the ancient and uncivilized societies or modern and civilized people of this era, can achieve calmness and peace only by acting upon the immortal directions of the Qur’an and Sunna. If people remain away from the Qur’an and Sunna, they would never see the face of peace, security and comfort. Holy Qur’an has been revealed for the sake human’s ease and composure but by realizing some conditions.’

Counting the conditions for gaining a smooth life, Shaikh Ahmad further said that learning the instructions and orders of the Qur’an is must in order to conduct upon them. Everyone should strive to perform whatever the Qur’an addresses. This great divine book made uncivilized Arabs the most civilized and powerful nation of that time who lead the world.

Explaining the second condition, Mawlana Ahmad went on saying that preaching holy Qur’an and conveying its message to others is another stipulation to enjoy a comfortable life. The companions of the prophet Muhammad (peace & blessings be upon him) imparted the shining teachings of the Qur’an and Sunna to the world; they did their best in this respect, so that we are Muslims now.

Indicating towards some directions are urged in initial verses of Sourah Bani Israel, the senior teacher at Darululoom Zahedan said, ‘Allah Almighty addressed us to take care of relatives and give them their appropriate rights. Secondly, avoid dissipation and wastefulness. “Tabdheer” means to spend money in inappropriate places like bars, drinking, dancing and narcotics. Allah called such people ‘brothers of Satan’. “Israf” means to spend more than enough and waste it, like people over-spend in marriage parties. Muslims who hope to get paradise must desist from tabdheer and israf.

The assistant of the rector of Darululoom Zahedan concluded his sermon saying that wastefulness and dissipation are the root causes of Allah’s anger and unwillingness. Allah’s unwillingness is exposed in various shapes such as drought and insecurity. People will be questioned where they spent money as they will be asked about the sources of incomes. So everyone should be tactful in this regards.
