‘Durable unity needs practical steps not hollow slogans’
molana-seminarZAHEDAN- The Muslims’ foresight seeks unity among them, whereas being divided in sects and races spoil them very badly, said the eminent Muslim scholar Shaikh Abdul Hameed on Tuesday, Feb. 22 in Zahedan.

Talking to the audience of 18th seminar of “Sunni khutabaa of Sistan-Balochistan” Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdul Hameed urged that unity can not be achieved only by slogans and mere talks; influential communities and authorized sides must take practical steps to ensure strengthening of the unification.
According to the report of ‘Sunnionline’, khateeb of Sunnis added more, “Unity among the Muslim sects is so vital, but the governments and rulers should remove the impediments from the way of unification, otherwise it can not be achieved by hollow slogans.”

The fresh changes in Mid. East considered from Allah:
Indicating towards the recent public movements in some Muslim countries, Shaikh said that those political changes stole up all the analysts and pertained experts, none could expect that such popular dictators might flee in this way.
Addressing the participators of the khutaba’s seminar, Shaikh Abdul Hameed pointed out, “We consider these movements and changes from God side. Undoubtedly prayers of the oppressed Palestinian have shown their fruits. We consider these events a good omen and hope Muslims all over the world may have a safe and calm life with its honor.”
He added more that the dismissed dictators would not listen the voice of masses, now they only can regret of their deeds. Useless remorse is the only consequence of prideful rulers in this world.
The prominent Sunni leader expressed his wish that new rulers of the mentioned countries may go forward on the way of Muslims’ interests so that Muslims regain their bright past in the world.

Rulers should accept people’s legal demands:
Mawlana Abdul Hameed further said, “The rulers of the Muslim countries should listen to folks, the legal demands must not be refused. In this regard Islamic scholars should take the side of people, they should try to be public leaders, listening to people and conveying their matters and voice to rulers is the duty of scholars. I hope almighty Allah may gift me and you ‘discernment’ and vision as well as grace to struggle for the sake of people’s legitimate demands. We must warn and remind rulers to take care of masses.”

A khateeb must play a model role:
Reciting the 9th verse of Sourat-ul-Jum’ah, Shaikh emphasized that khutaba have a very important and serious responsibility in the society.
“A khateeb of any grand mosque must be an example for pious and the travelers of the Allah’s path. People not only learn the religion from khutaba but also they learn piety, model moral and best deeds. If you see common people waste the rights of Allah and His slaves, do not be doubtful that the scholars have not done their duty; they could not play an ideal role in that society,” he pointed.
Shaikh urged that khutaba must ‘do’ more than what they say others. A kahteeb who does not apply what ever he guides his audience to do, would not be an influential leader.
He recommended the present khutba and scholars to offer ‘Tahajjud’ prayers regularly. He added, “Khutaba should be very close to almighty Allah, they should implement the nice sunnahs of the holy prophet (PBHU) in their routine. A pious, so near to Allah and follower of Allah almighty and His messenger can bring a positive change in society.”
