After reciting the verse: “Has there a short period not been passed over a human, when he was not a thing worth mentioning?” Grand Sheikh Abdul Hameed explained the divine graces which Almighty Allah gifted to His slaves. The previous days respected sheikh delivered a speech in “Kure’n” the adjoining areas of Zahedan city that Allah almighty created mankind first then He made them hearing, seeing and other blessings, more over he created them in the best stature.
Shaikh added, “Allah almighty has deposited a lot of blessings in mankind but as usual its value can be known after losing of one of them. So blinds recognize the value of eye-sight, deaf and mute knows the quality of hearing, and tongue, as who lost his hands and feet know the value of these blessings well.”
Khateeb of Ahl-e-Sunnat went on referring to the material blessings of God which were gifted to these areas after the drought and said, “We would have seen throughout the period hit the province of Sistan and Baluchistan, drought and lack of rain, the situation in this region was unbearable; farms and orchards dried up, rivers and springs and wells became empty and people faced the problems and dilemmas.”
Chairman of DarulUloom Zahedan, Shaikh Abdul Hameed indicated towards the spiritual blessings and more said, “All the graces are same but they differ in degrees; some of them are higher ones then others, some of them are so great blessings that can not be compared with the other ones e.g.: the Holy Qur’an, and the prophecy (Bi’that) of Mohammed (PBUH) as well as the Islam religion, really these are so great blessings of God that the other ones (gifting of parents, spouses and children as well as relatives) are not to be compared with them.”
Shaikh more said, “The mission of the Prophet peace be upon him taught us the grace to know the real Lord and it has taught us the afterlife, heaven and hell as well as the ways to happiness and success here as well as in the Hereafter.”
“The companions knew the value of the blessing of Islam and guidance (Hidaya), and they sacrificed all the self benefits for the debt. But nowadays Muslims consider themselves Muslims and believers, they prefer benefits of material things rather then Islam. Actually the problem is from our sides, we are weak and dishonor in the religion and faith, for that when the odds of personal benefits confront the teachings of Islam, we neglect the teachings of religion, and we tend to usury and other sins, which are prohibited. Taking usury is declaration war on God and His Messenger,” he added.
Sheikh-ul-Islam continued the topic saying, “There are two big sins, which known as a declaration of war on God and His Messenger, one of them is mentioned in the Book of Allah and the second one is in Sunna. The holy Qur’an considered usury announcing war on Allah and His Messenger, as Sunna and Aha’adith considered enmity and abuse of guardians of God war on God; as it comes in a Qudsi hadeeth: “Who sow enmity to my friends, so I declared of warn him.” So blaspheme of the companion is declaration of war on Allah which brings charges, as well as insulting to the family of the prophet and Allah’s friends those are Mansoorain from Allah is a declaration of war on God.”
In second part of his sermon, the great Sunni leader talked about the current affairs and shared his sympathyand sorrows for the victims of incidents that followed the recent disputed presidential election in Iran, asked immediate amendment in the electoral laws.
Grand Shaikh said in his sermon at Jame’a mosque of “Kor’in”, the suburbs of Zahedan city, “22nd of Khordad (12th June) is the remembrance day of the disputed election that followed differences and widespread protests in the country, where many of our countrymen lost their lives in the incidents that followed this election and many other citizens were injured as well”.
The great Sunni leader expressed his deep condolences to the families of victims of such events and more said, “besides such strong actions and using force on masses there were other ways and options to end the protests and objections without these casualties; the officials were able to convince opponents of the measure and solve the problem in a better way.”
Friday preacher of the Sunnis in Zahedan further said that the main problem in our country is denying completely copying the whole Constitution and following it in a correct way, some elements are afraid to promulgate the entire constitution. Undoubtedly, the problems of Sunni community in Iran are caused by same problem.
“If government carries out correctly the whole Constitution, surely the concerns of the majority of the society will be solved,” he added.
The head of Darululoom Zahedan urged strongly on the need to reform some articles of the Constitution and more said, “The Constitution is not divine revelation sent by Allah almighty to be preserved from error, but it is made by the human mind, which might be wrong. The experience of thirty years tells us that some parts of the Constitution strongly needed reformation and adjustment.”
Shaikh Abdul Hameed went on saying, “willingly I recommend the officials, if you want to preserve national unity and survival of the system then you have to review some articles of the Constitution, especially the electoral law must be reformed and modified in order to end the concern and distress of the people.”
The Sunni leader further said that the incidents that followed the recent elections have shown that existing laws are neither sufficient nor convincing, and the elections must be held in the way that you do not feel afraid of the presence of international observers, and make sure free and impartial elections.
