Shaikh Abdul Hamid: Our way is law and logic, not war

“Instead of celebrating only the birthday of the Prophet Peace Be upon Him it is necessary to focus on his great Seera (biography) to follow him in everyday of our life.” Friday Khateeb of Makki mosque, Maulana Abdul Hameed in Zahedan said.

Expressing his views he said: “what prevailed in some countries to establish celebrating programs of birthday of Awliya and especially birthday of the Prophet (PBUH) is heterogeneity of their teachings and guidance. Because the main thing is to follow the Seerat (biography) of the Prophet and his companions and the righteous Salaf, as well as to work on the provisions of Islamic Sharia and to copy their life instead of observing anniversaries and renewing of their memory and mortality.
In second part of Friday speech, Shaikh pointed to the arrest of Abdul Malik Rigi and hoped for returning peace to the region as well as demising of concern for the security of these areas.
Maulana Abdul Hameed declared insecurity, to promote murder, bloodshed and banditry and attacks, bombings and said that such other acts are against the security a danger and damage for all, and stressed that security and peace in the region is an important issue and beneficial for everyone. Shaikh-ul-Islam asked to take serious steps to preserve and maintain the peace in the region.
Sheikh denied any kind of relationship between the Sunnis and the armed movements and extremist parties those initiate armed attacks and said: “There should be difference between the Sunnis and the armed organizations which are involved in killing cases and committing crimes. The Sunnis have a normal life, and there must be difference between them and the armed extremists. So the main aim of Sunnis is to achieve their rights through distinct and law, this is the way of their struggle not to take weapons.

The khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan showed his concern regarding the reactions of the narrow minded people and extremist group who abused the Sunnis after the arrest of Rigi and said that the people of Zahedan are bold and careful of these border areas, according to saying of the supreme leader. He further said: “Every human is responsible for its acts and any convict chastised on his guilt.”
While addressing the audience he said: “If any ignorant person use exciting words, you should not be excited by his agitate words, do not pay any attention and consider it on his stupid. Because besides of good people in every nation, there are some ignorant and bad people also.
Friday orator in Zahedan added that the method which has been adopted by Sunni scholars and academics is a moderate method between excessive and exception and stressed: “We do not accept the way of carrying weapons and armed operations for achieving our rights, as we do not neglect our rights and we condemn non-pay attention to it, we are following always our rights and demands by the standpoint of law and logic, and we want peace and stability of the region.
Sheikh added: “As the unity and convergence is so every influential person should try to maintain peace and strengthen unity.
Sheikh Abdul Hameed stressed that raising the issue of security and peace is not in the sense that the Sunnis got all their demands and their rights and they do not have any kind of problems, but we continue to ask our rights in the framework of the law and international charters and we consider it our responsibility. And of course, the function of officials is to answer and response.
The chairman of the Organization of Union of Islamic schools in Balochistan added: “There is no any place for extremism in our schools and educational centers, and we have only cultural and educational framework, we just teach the book of Allah almighty and the Sunna of His messenger Muhammad (PBUH).”
Sheikh Abdul Hameed added that the arrested one does not have any kind of relationship to the scholars and educational centers, so he is responsible of his actions himself.
Grand Sheikh Continued: “There is no cooperation between the scholars and students with them. If we assume that any student of our Islamic educational centers did any thing against the law, so the madrasas should not be delegated because of the act of one person, as any student of any university if commits a crime so the whole university is not considered responsible for that crime.  
Religious schools do not take any kind of responsibility for such individuals. Shaikh said strongly that what ever any one said and compared that should be based on sincerity and the fair of the Day of Judgment and faith in God Almighty, as it is necessary for each society.”
He called the officials to assess factors and causes of crises, besides fighting against the ills and factors you must fight against bad effects as well.
He explained: “It is essential to eradicate discrimination and inequality, poverty, unemployment and illiteracy, the authorizes of educational departments should provide more and more opportunities for the local people of the region, there must be solidarity with the regional people to progress development and create more concerns and occupations.
Imam of Friday prayer pointed out to the week of unity and said: “There is no doubt that this designation is beautiful, but it must not be confined to talk about unity only in this week.”
He went on: “National and tribal differences and rapprochement among Islamic sects and people should be removed, the Shiites and Sunnis must maintain their commitment to respect each other, no one should reflect other’s sanctuaries, always they should attempt in reform and goodness.”
