IRAN – ZAHEDAN: The academic year of 1436-37 H (2015-2016) has been started in the Islamic seminaries of Sunnis in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan, Iran.

Expressing his regret on sectarian divisions and discords in the Muslim states, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed ‘monopolism’ and ‘narrow-mindedness’ among the main and most important factors behind sectarian divisions in these countries.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid expressed his thanks on sympathy of different figures and associations following the demolition of Pounak prayer-room with the Sunni community of Iran, calling on the Iranian officials to resolve this issue discreetly.

After demolition of Pounak prayer-room of Sunnis in Tehran by the municipality and with the support of security forces, Sunni elites, figures and institutions strongly announced their reaction. “SunniOnline” reports, the Sunni elites condemned the incident and asked for re-establishment of the prayer-room and permission of building Sunni Masjids in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
