The 21st meeting of the Islamic Fiqh Academy of Sunnis completed its sessions on Sunday evening Nov. 22, 2015 approving three important issues.

Sayyid Qu?b, in full Ibrahim Husayn Shadhili Sayyid Qutb, born Oct. 9, 1906, near Asyut, Egypt—died Aug. 29, 1966, Cairo, Egyptian writer who was one of the foremost figures in modern Sunni Islamic revivalism. He was from a family of impoverished rural notables. For most of his early life he was a schoolteacher.
Stressing that “Sunnis do not believe in mourning in Muharram month”, Mawlana Muhammad Hussein Gorgij asked school principals, jail authorities and barracks to not force Sunnis for participating in mourning ceremonies.
