Rectors of Sunni Seminaries Gather in Chabahar

The first meeting of the rectors of the seminaries affiliated with the Coordination Council for Sunni Seminaries in Sistan-Baluchistan has been held in Chabahar on Saturday 31st Oct. 2015.

According to correspondents of “SunniOnline”, the rectors of the seminaries gathered for the first time in the ongoing academic year in ‘Jamiat-ul-Haramayn al-Sharifayn’ of Chabahar, the coastal city of Iranian Baluchistan.
Talking to the rectors and scholars of Sistan-Baluchistan province, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Isma’eelzahi, chairman of the Coordination Council of the Sunni Seminaries called on the audience to make and strengthen their relations with the society and common people. Otherwise, it would leave dangerous consequences for the society.
“Ulama are the heirs of prophets not only in knowledge, but also in piety and taqwa. They should work hard to follow up the problems of people directly. The presence of rectors inside seminaries and Madrassas is vital; they should remain in contact with their students and listen to them,” the rector of Darululoom Zahedan underlined.

For his part, Mawlana Abdul-Rahman Mollazahi, the rector of Jamiat-ul-Haramayn, termed the contemporary Ulama ‘followers’ of the ancestors who had been struggling to uproot superstitions and classism in the society.

After presentation of the report of the audit commission of the council, requests of five seminaries for joining the CCSS were accepted. Now the number of seminaries work under the rules of the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries has gone up to 59.
