Divine Commands Bring Reforms in Communities

Emphasizing on the importance of obeying the Sharia’s commands, the prominent Sunni scholar of Iran considered prayers, fasting, Zakah and etc. effective in reforming society.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid was talking to tens of thousands of worshipers before the Friday prayers in Zahedan’s Grand Musalla on March 25, 2022.
He said in his Friday speech: “Almighty Allah created human beings; He knows well the weaknesses and strengths of His servants; He has sent prophets and divine books to guide the people. Allah has revealed the noble Shari’ah to save human beings from spiritual and physical illnesses, purify them, and make up for their shortcomings.”
Mentioning prayers, fasting and Zakah as the main bases of Islam, the Friday Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “God Almighty wants His servants to enter them the Paradise. Allah wants to guide and help people through prayers. All the prophets emphasized on performing the obligation of prayers. Prayers bring the fear, and love of Allah in the heart and strengthen the servant’s relationship with Almighty. Abandoning the prayer is a dangerous sin that is close to disbelief; be careful about prayers.”
Emphasizing on the importance of paying Zakah, president of Darululoom Zahedan said: “Zakah is one of the most important commands of Almighty Allah and it’s a moral value. By paying Zakah, the need of the poor, orphans, and weak people are fulfilled. God commanded the Prophet Jesus and Ismael, to pray and pay Zakah.”
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid warned of the consequences of the intense love of wealth and money, saying: “We should not love our wealth so much that prevents us from paying Zakah and leads to violate the rights of others. Giving alms and paying Zakah clean humanity from imperfections. That is why the Prophet PBUH said: Save yourselves from hell even with the charity of half part of a date.”
“By giving alms and paying Zakah, your sins will be forgiven, your wealth will be cleansed, your relationship with Almighty Allah will be strengthened, and you will be saved from the torment of Hell,” said the most outstanding Sunni leader of Iran in his Friday sermons of Zahedan.
He inspired Muslims to pay Zakah, observe fast, and offer prayers during the months of Sha’ban and Ramadan, which are the months of purification, reform, and closeness to God.

No character can reach the lowest position of the Prophets’ Companions
Describing the position of the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader strictly forbade any blasphemous act against the Sahaba.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “The Companions of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH have the highest position in Islam. In addition to fighting alongside the Prophet in defense of Islam, they also enjoyed the advantage of accompanying him.”
“No Imam of Jurisprudence and Hadith reaches the position of the lowest companion; rather all righteous people owe the Companions in their religion and faith. The Companions saw the Prophet Muhammad PBUH directly with their own eyes and accompanied him. This worship was very effective in making them,” said Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan, Iran.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid continued: “The Companions learnt from the Prophet the best lessons. No teacher, educator, or scholar has been able to educate, bring up and train his students like the Prophet Muhammad. Accompanying the Prophet Muhammad, who was the Khalil of Allah, elevated the Companions to the highest poison. The Prophet advised: do not offense my Companions.”
The prominent Sunni leader of Iran further pointed to some blasphemous acts against Sayyidana Mu’awiyah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, especially recently in Iranian Kurdistan, and said: “Many insult Mu’awiyah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while he was a great companion of the Prophet and writer of the revelation. All the narrations mentioned in the virtue of the companions of the Prophet, include Mu’awiyah, may Allah be pleased with him.”
“Although the Companions were not infallible, but whenever Allah mentions their mistakes, He declares that the Almighty has forgiven them. This is the sign of Allah’s pleasure with the companions. It is necessary to maintain the sanctity of the Companions and the Households of the Holy prophet peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid concluded his points.
