Make up for Past Shortcomings in Ramadan and Sha’ban

Describing Sha’ban and Ramadan as the months of reform and self-purification, Shaikh Abdol- Ghani Badri emphasized on increasing worships during these months and insisted the need to make up the past shortcomings.

Talking to tens of thousands of worshipers in the biggest Friday ceremony of Zahedan on March 18, 2022, the senior teacher of Hadith and Tafsir of Darululoom Zahedan said: “As Muslims, we should make more efforts to reform our society and purify ourselves during the months of Sha’ban and Ramadan, because these are the months of worship and obedience.”

Shaikh Badri inspired Muslims to put the love of Almighty Allah in their hearts and to put reform programs first in these blessed months and said: “Those who are successful carry out great acts during these months; those who are unsuccessful are deprived of worship, even if they are near the Ka’ba. We must always pray for success and strive hard to increase our worships and to make up for our shortcomings”.

“Unfortunately committing sins and disobedience to Allah’s commands became common today. The problems are increasing day by day and people are losing their hope. Although the people of the world want to reduce the problems by forming associations and institutions, but the problems increase day by day,” said the vice Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan.

He added: “What is the source of all these problems? In fact, the source of all problems is people themselves. People pay more attention to their appearance than to their inward and heart, while if their heart is pure, they will avoid from sins, and corruption will be stopped; this helps to reform the community. Purifying the heart was the common mission of all prophets. In Mecca, the Prophet Muhammad PBUH made special efforts for thirteen years to reform and purify the hearts.”

“Ramadan is the best opportunity to purify the heart from all sins. Allah sent prophets and divine books to guide and reform His servants to save them from hell,” he said.

The interim Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan said in his last points: “Recitation of the Qur’an, Ramadan, fasting, Zakah and all divine commands are for the purification of the soul and the heart.”
