Shaikh Abdol-Hamid:

History Gives Best Lessons to Generations

History Gives Best Lessons to Generations

Addressing the Friday worshipers of Zahedan, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader talked about the role and impact of history in changing the destiny of nations believing that the history of the past people had the best lessons for the next generations.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered obedience to the commands of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad PBUH as the key of success and stressed the need to increase worships during the months of Sha’ban and Ramadan.
Talking to the people of Zahedan, capital of Sistan-Baluchestan Iran, on March 11, 2022, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “Almighty Allah has put the best lessons for human beings in history. History has the best lessons for the present and future generations. We must study the history of the past people and examine the reasons for their victory and defeat.”
“We must learn from the events of the world to change the way of our lives. The Noble Qur’an is not a book of history, but it describes the status of the previous nations to tell us about the causes of strengths and weaknesses of nations,” said the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan.
He believed: “Unfortunately, people of the present age do not learn any lesson from the history of their predecessors”.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed to the causes of the defeat of Muslims through history and said: “Throughout history, whenever Muslims committed sins and disobeyed the divine commands, they were defeated. When people involved in murder, robbery, adultery and so on, Almighty God took away His blessings from them. Due to polytheism, infidelity, arrogance and disobedience they were deprived of Allah’s mercy. The people of A’ad, Thamud, Lot, Madyan, and the people of Pharaoh were strong, but when they stood up against the truth and disobeyed, Allah rebuked them and set them an example for others.”
President of Darululoom Zahedan considered the key to the success of Muslims in the beginning of Islam in obeying the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
“At that time, Muslims were proud of the Prophet and the religion of Islam; they carried out good deeds and worshiped Allah with enthusiasm. If today’s Muslims obey Allah’s commands, follow the Sunnah of the Prophet, and avoid sins, God will help them as He helped the Muslims of the beginning years of Islam,” said chairman of the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries in Sistan-Balochistan.
The most outstanding Iranian Sunni scholar continued: “When the faith of the Muslims weakened and they committed sins, Non-Muslims prevailed over them. In many Muslim lands, mosques became churches. The Islamic lands torn apart and came under the domination of the alien powers”.
“By a look at history, we will find that Muslims ruled in many parts of the world for centuries; some parts of Ukraine, which is on fire today, were under the rule of Muslims,” said the Friday Khateeb of Zahedan.
The most influential Sunni leader of Iran strongly criticized the war crimes and killing of people and said: “Many powerful countries that have nuclear weapons and strong military equipment, oppress the weak nations; such people have fallen in moralities. Although they claim that they have advanced in technologically, but in fact, they have fallen in attitude. Do such people have human behavior? The people of Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Yemen were displaced due to the aggression of the powers and now the people of Ukraine and some other countries are being displaced.”
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid asked: “Why these oppressors have fallen in immorality? Why they don’t have mercy on weak nations?! Why do powerful countries violate the rights of weak nations for their own benefit?”
President of Darululoom Zahedan added: “People build beautiful houses and cities then destroy them with their own hands! This is the sign of human decline. I ask those who claim to have civilization: is destroying cities and killing the innocent people a civilization?”

Obedience to Allah’s commands and avoiding sins strengthens Muslims
Emphasizing on avoiding sins, obeying the divine commands and adhering to the good attitude, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said in his Friday speech of Zahedan: “Today people seek peace, but there is no peace in their lives. They should know that peace and tranquility comes in life by remembering Allah, having good deeds and actions and imitating the Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. To achieve peace and happiness, Muslims must seek Allah’s pleasure and change their way of life. All classes of the society should return to the teachings of the Qur’an. The Qur’an is the best model book until the Day of Judgment.”
Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan further emphasized on imitating the Sunnah of the Prophet, his Companions, and Households and said: “The Prophet, the Companions, and the Ahlul-Bayt are the best example for Muslims and for the people of the world forever.”
In a part of his Friday speech of Zahedan, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid considered the months of Sha’ban and Ramadan as the best opportunities for worship and stressed the need to increase good deeds such as reciting the Qur’an, fasting, remembering Allah, helping the poor and needy people and so on.
Concluding his points, the Friday prayer leader of Zahedan advised all classes of the society to participate in the interpretation course of the Holy Qur’an held by Shaikh Badri during the months of Sha’ban and Ramadan at Darululoom Zahedan.
