Ignoring Divine Commands, Real Cause of Calamities

Ignoring Divine Commands, Real Cause of Calamities

Addressing the Friday worshippers of Zahedan, the eminent Sunni scholar of Iran considered disobedience to divine commands and committing sins as the main causes of anomalies and tragedies in today’s world.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid insisted on the importance of repentance and on following the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. He was talking before the Friday prayers on Oct 1, 2021.
At the beginning of his speech, the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan pointed out to the seven big sins that the Prophet PBUH had mentioned them as deadly sins and said: “The Prophet considered seven sins deadly and forbade the people from them”.
“Today, Muslims are upset and have reached a dead end. Everything goes against the interests of the people. Negligence and misdeeds are the root causes of all problems and crises in today’s world”, said the president of Darululoom Zahedan.
“Many people don’t follow the divine commands. Negligence has caused people to stay away from the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah”, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said.
Continuing his speech, the Friday Imam of Zahedan called polytheism as another deadly sin.
He said: “People aren’t free to worship whoever and whatever they wish, but they are obliged to worship Allah because Allah will throw the infidels into the Hell. Monotheism is the first and biggest right of Allah on human beings that saves them. Polytheism is the biggest enmity with Allah”.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid continued: “Unfortunately, polytheism has increased in the world today and many Muslims are involved in superstitions and polytheism”.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid mentioned magic as another deadly and destructive sin and said: “Magic is one of the dangerous sins that people commit. Magic is carried out mostly by blasphemous words”.
He strictly forbade resorting to sorcerers and said: “It is forbidden to invalidate magic by magic, but magic must be invalidated by the verses of the Qur’an; two last chapters of the Qur’an have been revealed for this purpose and to neutralize magic”.
The most influential Iranian Sunni leader said: “The Prophet PBUH described killing innocent people and looting the property of orphans as other deadly sins. Killing innocent people destroys the life of killer. Unfortunately, many people today eat the property of orphans unjustly. While Allah has said that those who consume the property of the orphan, in fact they enter the fire into their bodies. The fire destroys their health and spirituality. Eating such a wealth turns into cancer and diseases”.
“Today, women complain that their inheritance is not divided fairly. One of the important rights of a deceased is that after his/her burial, his/her property should be divided fairly among the heirs according to the Shari’ah.”
‘I advise everyone to give women their legacy’, said president of Darululoom Zahedan.
Explaining the Hadith of the Prophet PBUH, he considered usury as one of the biggest sins and said: “In fact, usury is a declaration of war against Allah and His Prophet. Usury destroys the spirituality of the people and inflicts the greatest economic blow on society”.
“Adultery, drinking alcohol, bribery, drug and etc. are among the sins that have changed the nature in the world and they are the cause of all plagues, calamities and disputes”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid expressed his concerns.
Friday Imam of the grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan further said: “If people return to the Qur’an and Sunnah and repent, everything will change in their favor”.
“As long as Muslims commit sins and disobey the Almighty, they cannot conquer Jerusalem. To conquer Jerusalem and free Palestine, Muslims should repent and return to Allah and leave sins”, said the Iranian Sunnis’ leader.

The price control should be priority of the government
Criticizing the rapidly increasing prices of the necessary objects and high inflation in Iran, the eminent Sunni scholar of Iran said: “Unfortunately, prices have been increasing on daily basis and momently; people can’t afford to buy their needs. The unemployed and poor classes of the society who make up the majority of the country’s population are under severe economic pressure”.
“I call on the government to find a solution with proper planning and measures to curb inflation and prevent its rising”, the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan said.
He added more: “The president Raisi promised that the issue of the economy and solving the people’s living problems is one of his first priorities; this promise must be fulfilled”.
As rent increases, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “Tenants complain that rents are too high and they can’t afford to pay. On the other hand, landlords say they have to raise rents because of rising inflation.”
“I’d like to advise homeowners to be patient with those who are unable to pay the high rent”, he said.
In his last points, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid referred to the selection of the new mayor of Zahedan and prayed for his success. “I ask the city council of Zahedan and other related bodies to cooperate with the mayor to solve the problems”, he said.
