Afghans must agree on the implementation of Islamic laws

Referring to the current events in Afghanistan, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed, the Iranian Sunnis’ leader emphasized on the importance of unanimity of Afghan nation on implementing Islamic laws, justice and fighting against corruption.

Shaikh Abdol-Hameed addressed the Friday worshippers in Zahedan’s grand Musalla in August 13, 2021 and said: “Afghanistan has been plagued by war and insecurity for decades; now is the time for Afghan people to live in peace and security”.
The Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan continued his speech by saying: “Unfortunately, today many people ignore the facts. The Taliban are a reality in Afghanistan as other parties. Their resistance, jihad and sacrifice caused the Western occupiers to leave Afghanistan”.
Mawlana Abdol-Hameed cited public support as a key factor for the Taliban’s victory in Afghanistan and said: “The rapid advance of the Taliban, who seized a large part of Afghanistan, shows that they are supported by the people and Allah is helping them”.
“The Taliban say that their goal is the enforcement of Islamic laws and they follow the instructions of the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH”, president of Darululoom Zahedan said.
“I swear God that there is no law more just and more equal than the laws of Islam. This demand of the Taliban is understandable for Afghanistan’s neighboring Muslim countries”, said the prominent Sunni scholar of Iran.
Shaikh Abdol-Hameed added: “In my opinion, if Islamic Shari’ah and the Sunnah of the Prophet and the righteous caliphs are implemented in Islamic countries, durable security will be established. If the Taliban follow the Qur’an and Sunnah, the people of Afghanistan will once again live in security and peace”.
“Today, the Taliban have been changed and they have shown a broad mind; they announced a general amnesty for the opponents and fighting forces and release captives. They underlined that they don’t want bloodshed and ruthlessness”, president of Darululoom Zahedan further said.
The imminent Sunni scholar of Iranian Balochistan continued: “The Taliban have stated that they will have good relations with their neighbors and will never pose a threat to neighboring countries. This is a very high capacity that the Taliban have shown”.
Shaikh Abdol-Hameed believed that if Taliban go wrong and commit any mistake or show any “rudeness”, Ulama and scholars of Afghanistan and other parts of the world will warn and correct them.

Shaikh Abdol-Hameed defended women rights and urged that women should not be deprived of education.
Mawlana Abdol-Hameed called on different parties of Afghanistan to solve their problems through negotiations and get along with each other.
He called on different Afghan sides: “Do not pay attention to the words and analyzes that are mostly one-sided and seek to ignite civil wars, but agree on the implementation of the Shari’ah and implementation of justice, fight against corruption and stand together for the prosperity and security of your country.”

The presence of Sunnis in the government cabinet leads to lasting unity and dignifies the country in abroad
In the other part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed thanked the president Rouhani’s administration for its services and stressed on the presence of Sunnis in the cabinet of president Raisi’s administration.
“For us, there is no difference between Shiites and Sunnis to serve, but the presence of at least one Sunni in the cabinet shows the high capacity of the officials and strengthens lasting unity”, said the Friday Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan.
“Such actions make the country more honorable at the international level”, he believed.
Shaikh Abdol-Hameed also urged that the presence of women in the government’s cabinet is necessary and it shows that Iran respects women.
“The cabinet members have been introduced to the parliament; the officials should think more about reforming the list of new cabinet members of president Raisi’s administration”, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed urged.
Shaikh Abdol-Hameed also thanked the services of Zahedan’s previous local city council and the former mayor of Zahedan. He described Mr. Porbar as a capable and experienced personality.
He called on the new local city council members and the new mayor of Zahedan to solve Zahedan’s basic problems and to make up the past shortcomings.

Imam Hussein defended the achievements of the Prophet and the Righteous Caliphs
Describing the virtues of Sayyidana Hussein bin Ali, May Allah be pleased with him, in the first part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed considered the implementation of justice and protection of the achievements of the Holy Prophet and the righteous caliphs as the main reason for Imam Hussein’s resistance.

“Sayyidana Hussein was raised in the house of the Holy Prophet, Ali and Fatima. Hassan and Hussein, may Allah be pleased with them, while being companions, were among those who raised by the Prophet PBUH in his house”, said the president of Darululoom Zahedan.
“The Household of the Holy Prophet PBUH are respected by all Islamic sects. Shiites and Sunnis love them”, he added.
The Friday Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan referred to the factors of Imam Hussein’s resistance and said: “The uprising of Imam Hussein against cruelty was a historical event. Imam Hussein’s uprising was not for the sake of gaining power; he rose up against oppressors and the arrogant”, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader said.
He further stated: “Imam Hussein, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was a pious man and was the best example to follow.”
Shaikh Abdol-Hameed stated that there were strong relations between the Rashidun caliphs and the Household of the Holy Prophet. “They loved each other and defended Islam together”, he said.

At the end, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed referred to the passing of Shaikh Abdul-Rahman Mohebbi, a prominent professor of Hadith at Darululoom Zahedan, and said: “Recently, we have lost great personalities. Mawlana Abdur-Rahman Mohebbi, a prominent professor at Darululoom Zahedan and a well-known figure in the province and the country, passed away after a period of illness”.
“We worked together for forty years. He came to Darululoom Zahedan by the invitation of Shaikh Abdol-Aziz (founder of Darululoom Zahedan)”, he added more.
Shaikh Abdol-Hameed also pointed out to the death of Dr. Adham Sepahi, and said: “Dr. Adham Sepahi was one of our colleagues in Darululoom Zahedan and one of the elite and academic figures who served sincerely. He died last week”.
“May God forgive them and raise their ranks”, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed said.
