Solve Economic Problems, Eliminate Discrimination & Inequality

Alluding to the swearing-in ceremony of Ebrahim Raisi amid the increasing economic crisis in Iran in recent years, Shaikh Abdol-Ghani Badri called on the president to fulfill the demands and expectations of the people of Iran.

The vice-Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan stressed on the importance of solving economic problems and on eliminating discrimination and inequality in his Friday speech of August 6, 2021.

Mawlana Badri alluded to the inauguration of Ebrahim Raisi as Iran’s new president that Shaikh Abdol-Hameed, the Iranian Sunnis’ leader attended the ceremony, and said: “Although the president Rouhani’s administration made efforts, but it failed to improve the economic and living problems in Iran. It also couldn’t address the demands of ethnic and religious communities”.

“The new president has declared that his administration is the administration of action and he will change the country’s situation to a better”, said the prominent Sunni scholar of Sistan-Balochistan.

He added more: “I hope that there will be a sweeping change in the country that the demands of the people will be addressed”.

“Comparing Iran with neighboring countries, Iran has a lot of resources, but unfortunately its people are in the worst living and economic situation”, the senior teacher of Hadith and Tafsir of Darululoom Zahedan said.

He continued: “To improve this situation, policies must be changed and affairs must be managed well. I hope that in president Raisi’s administration the situation of the country will be improved and the people will be satisfied”.

Mawlana Abdol-Ghani further said: “Discrimination and inequality should be eliminated and no one should feel like a second-class citizen; the demands of Sunni community and minorities must be addressed”.

“I hope that the cabinet of the President Raisi will be a public and a pragmatic cabinet”, he added more.

New city council of Zahedan should serve citizens well
Pointing out to the inauguration ceremony of the new local councils, Shaikh Abdol-Ghani Badri appreciated the efforts of the previous Zahedan city council and the former mayor of Zahedan saying that they had strived hard for the development of the city.

“However, there are weaknesses everywhere and there are many incomplete tasks which must be completed”, he said.

“As far as we know, the members of the new Zahedan city council are capable and experienced. We hope that the council and the new mayor will take care of common people serving them well and they would work for the development of the city.”, said the vice Friday Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan.

He added: “The people of Zahedan don’t expect much from the council. At least they expect that their city should be built like other big cities.”

Shaikh Badri advised the people of Zahedan to cooperate with the city council and the municipal.

Concluding his points, he advised the members of the council city by saying: “I’d like to advise the members of Zahedan’s City Council that instead of sitting at office, they should meet with the people more, remain active on the grounds and inform the people from public places about their activities.”
