Proper Planning and Good Foreign Relations Make the Next President Successful

Alluding to the approaching of presidential and local council elections in Iran, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader pointed to economic crisis and urged that the presidential candidates should put the economic programs first.
Talking to tens of thousands of worshippers in Zahedan’s Friday gathering on June 11, 2021, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid considered the establishment of good relations with countries and proper planning in national level as the key issue for the success of the next president.
“The economic programs should be the biggest concern of the presidential candidates,” he said.
The Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan continued: “Designing working domestic and foreign policies are very effective in solving economic problems. In today’s world, life is difficult without improving relationships with others.”

“The next administration must improve the country’s relations with its neighbors and with other countries and take steps to de-escalate tensions”, president of Darululoom Zahedan said.
“We must have a vigorous diplomacy to have good relations with the Muslim and non-Muslim countries”, Imam of the Grand Makki mosque of Zahedan said.

Use the views of Islamic experts in solving the economic crisis
The Iranian Sunnis’ leader emphasized on proper national planning in solving the economic problems and said: “Establishing relations with countries and designing proper domestic planning is very vital”.
“To solve the country’s economic crisis, apart from economic experts, consult Islamic scholars too”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid addressed the officials.
“In my opinion, in economics, in addition to economists, Quranic experts and Islamic scientists’ viewpoints should also be heard. I have said many times before, why we do not use the methods of the prophets in the economic crisis?” said the prominent Iranian Sunni scholar.
The Friday Imam of Zahedan questioned: “Why do not we follow the examples of the economic plans of the Prophet Yousuf who saved Egypt from the economic crisis?”
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid added: “When the Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the Muslims migrated to Medina, Medina was full of the emigrants, there was no economic activity in Medina except limited date palm farming, but the Prophet managed this problem and solved it.”
“Why don’t we follow the Prophet’s plans? Why we don’t refer to such guidance?” he questioned.
“The next president can solve the country’s economic problems if he uses the views of experts with different backgrounds”, said the eminent Sunni leader of Sistan-Baluchistan.
“We are running in the local council and presidential elections. We should try to choose the right person who has the power to manage the country”, he added more.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called the ‘coalition’ in political issues as the sign of rationality and the growth of any society and said: “One of the common and effective methods in the world is the formation of a coalition.”
Referring to ethnic and religious diversity in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid stressed on the necessity of maintaining unity and fraternity in the elections.
Addressing the Iranian people, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid advised the ethnic and religious communities to choose the most capable candidates, regardless of personal and political interests.
He referred to the freedom of choice and said: “People are free to choose, it is everyone’s duty to choose the right person.”
Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid concluded his points of this part of the speech and expressed his hope that the next president would be the best person to run the country well.

Proper upbringing, biggest legacy for children
Referring to the emphasis of all religions and communities, especially Islam, on the upbringing of children, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid described children as the best assets of parents and considered proper upbringing as the biggest legacy of parents for their children.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said in the first part of his Friday sermon that children are the divine blessings for their parents.
He said: “The necessity of raising children is one of the common grounds among religions and communities. All religions and sects emphasize on raising children, but Islam emphasizes more”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid referred to some rights of a child at birth and said: “Choosing a good name, haircut, and the slaughter of sheep for the children are among the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad”.
“On the Day of Judgment, each person will be called by his own name. So choose a good name that has a good meaning”, president of Darululoom Zahedan said.
He continued: “The Prophet PBUH said “Abdollah and Abdol-Rahman” are among the best names. Unfortunately, today some children are named with inappropriate and with old ignorant people’s names”.
“The child is the best asset that must be raised in the best way. No wealth and heritage are as beneficial for a child as science and knowledge”, Imam of the Grand Makki mosque of Zahedan said.
He considered the science, knowledge, ethics and teaching of the Qur’an necessary for the children.
“Take care of your children so that they are not abused by wicked people”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged.

Teach your children the Noble Qur’an
He further stressed on education of children, especially on learning the Qur’an and said: “Parents and scholars should plan for the children to learn the Qur’an well.”
“Recite the Holy Qur’an with the correct pronunciation and memorize the whole Qur’an or some chapters of it”, the most outstanding Iranian Sunni scholar said.
He referred to the teachings of Islam regarding the upbringing of children and said: “The Holy Prophet PBUH said: respect children and do not humiliate them, have mercy on them and be compassionate with them”.
The Friday prayer leader of Zahedan continued: “Don’t humiliate your children because humiliation will make them weak. Teach your children social etiquette and teach them how to respect their parents”.
“Take your children to mosque and family gatherings. Command the children to pray at the age of seven and punish them at the age of ten according to their condition”, said the eminent Sunni scholar of Zahedan.
“Many nations spend a huge budget to plan for their children and for the future generations. We must plan for the advancement of future generations so that the future generations will not be illiterate and will have a better life in the field of science, knowledge and guidance”, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid pointed.
