Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan referred to the importance of following the commands of Islam and considered them very effective in purification of mankind and reformation of the society.
Addressing thousands of worshippers in Zahedan’s Friday gathering on April 16, 2021, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid described the belief of Tawhid (oneness of God), prophecy of the prophets and the belief of the Hereafter life as the most important spiritual programs of Allah for humanity.
“Allah has arranged problems for the training of the human beings. As the body needs vitamins, food and nourishment, the soul also needs vitamins. As the body is strengthened by exercise, the soul is also strengthened by obeying Allah’s commands”, said the Friday Imam of Zahedan.
“Allah has sent prophets and revealed His commands to train human beings”, he said.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid continued: “Some experts analyze the events by only seeing the apparent causes while there are some other factors behind the events and they create problems in the world. They don’t differentiate between human being and animal, while human being is very different from animal”.
President of Darululoom Zahedan called the divine plans effective in changing the human’s life and said: ‘All divine plans purify human beings’.
He considered the right belief in God very important for human beings.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid further referred to the importance of the prayers believing that the Salah is one of the biggest plans of God for training the mankind. He said that the Salah brings humility and creates strong relationship with God.
The Friday Imam of Zahedan stressed on the importance of paying Zakah and said that Zakah purifies mankind like the prayers and removes the adoration of the material things from the human being’s heart.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered fasting as one of the most important pillars of Islam and as a factor of training.
“Ramadan has come to call us to leave sins, and worship Allah. Allah has prepared beautiful programs for Ramadan such as recitation of the Holy Qur’an, sending salutations to the prophet Muhammad PBUH, remembrance, charity and fasting”, said the prominent Iranian Sunni scholar.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid stressed on doing good deeds in Ramadan more and forbade from wasting time by useless gatherings, lies and all kinds of sins.
Referring to the philosophy of the Holy month of Ramadan, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid insisted on taking advantage of this month.
“We must follow Allah’s commands and follow the character and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH to be successful”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged.
Covid-19 and plagues warn human beings to repent to Allah
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered the pandemic of the COVID-19 and other disasters as warning from God to make human beings to repent and avoid sins.
He pointed out: “All changes in the world are tests for human beings to repent and obey God’s laws”.
He believed that all plagues are due to disobedience to God’s commands. “As diseases have physical causes, they also have unseen spiritual causes”, he added more.
President of Darululoom Zahedan pointed out: “The Covid-19 and other calamities are from God and they are the results of negligence and disobedience; to get rid of all pests, mankind should repent and return to God”.
Friday Khateeb of Zahedan added: “Some experts attribute global warming and other pests to physical causes. Why these experts don’t see the roots and main sources of pests, famine, Coronavirus and other climate changes?” the eminent scholar of Sistan-Baluchistan questioned.
He believed that the causes of plagues and calamities were corruption, oppression, injustice, massacres and other sins, and the only way to get rid of such pests is to return to God.
“In order to achieve security and to bring peace in the world, people must work to reform themselves and reform the society by fighting oppression, corruption and all kinds of sins”, said Shaikh Abdol-Hamid.
Support Darululoom Zahedan
In the last part of his speech, president of Darululoom Zahedan called mosques and seminaries “centers of peace and unity” urging on the necessity of financial supporting with Islamic centers.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called on the people for supporting Darululoom Zahedan financially, which is the biggest Islamic center and seminary of the Sunni community in Iran.
He pointed out: “Sunni seminaries and mosques are centers of peace and goodness. They need your support and help”.
“People should participate in the expenses of Darululoom Zahedan and other seminaries.” said Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan.
“Don’t believe the rumors of some people who say that Darululoom Zahedan does not need help”, president of Darululoom Zahedan urged.
The most influential Sunni leader of Iran further emphasized that Darululoom Zahedan is not supported by any country or institution and it does not accept a penny from any state and government. “Darululoom Zahedan is supported by public including employees, workers, merchants and so on”, he urged.
