Change Views Instead of Dividing the Province

Alluding to the plan to divide Sistan-Baluchistan province, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid believed that the problems of Sistan-Baluchistan will not be solved by dividing the province into several provinces, rather they will be reduced by changing the policies and views.

Addressing thousands of worshippers before Friday prayers in Zahedan on November 20, 2020, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “The plan to divide Sistan-Baluchistan province has been submitted in the Islamic Consultative Assembly. I warn those who support the plan to divide the Sistan-Baluchestan that the problems of Balochistan will not be solved by division. To reduce the problems, economic and living problems should be eliminated”.

In this regard, the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan pointed out: “Some other provinces have been divided in the country, but there have not been fundamental changes after division. Despite the division, those divided provinces are still in the same deprivation as before”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered discrimination as the source of the problems in Sistan-Baluchestan and said: “To solve the problems of the province, there must be a sweeping change in our policies. Discrimination must be eliminated and different ethnicities should be treated fairly and equally. Officials should address the demands of the people by employing capable of ethnicities and religions”.

The eminent Sunni leader added: “Unfortunately, there is no an exact plan to solve the problems of the province, some want to make people busy by statements on division of the province. Living and economic problems should be solved with accurate expertise”.

Coronavirus is the result of oppression, bloodshed and corruption
In the first part of his speech, referring to the spread of COVID 19 in the world, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered such a situation as the result of human’s action; he recommended and emphasized on observing the rights of Allah and the rights of people.

The outstanding Sunni scholar of Iran stated: “The current situation in the world is a special situation; we have never seen such a widespread disease in the world. In the past if there was a plague, it was limited and did not spread to the whole world. The world has been unable to fight this pest”.

He added: “Allah shows His power that human beings with all their claims of power, progress in science and knowledge, are powerless before the power of God.”

President of Darululoom Zahedan pointed to the causes of such plagues and calamities in the world and said: “In the light of the Qur’an and Hadiths, we conclude that this phenomenon is the result of oppression, corruption, sin, negligence and the result of unjust bloodshed, bombing and killing Muslims brutally in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria.”

The Iranian Sunnis’ leader continued: “This plague started from China because China committed all kinds of oppression against innocent Muslims. Chinese separated the innocent children from their mothers’ arms and separated them from their family members.”

Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan further referred to the Myanmar’s crimes against Muslims and said: “The Myanmar government massacred and displaced Muslims.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid referred to the Israeli oppression against Palestinians and said: “Israelis displace the Palestinians and continue to oppress the defenseless nation”.

“Powerful countries have been testing their modern weapons in Iraq and Syria. In Yemen, children starve to death and face all kinds of problems. All kinds of oppression and murder take place in the world,” he added more.

The Friday prayer leader of Zahedan referred to the Australian Ministry of Defense’s acknowledgment of the killing of civilians in Afghanistan and said: “It is very painful to see dozens of farmers and common unarmed people killed but massacred ruthlessly by a heavily-equipped Australian soldier. Such crimes and bloodshed bring punishments like the Covid19 virus.”

He condemned the habit of killing relatives of culprits as some people kill close relatives of their enemies in tribal disputes. He also called on the audience to cooperate with the officials in their fight to stop the spread of Covid19 in the country.
