The UAE should Reconsider Normalizing Relations with Israel

Alluding to the UAE-Israel deal for normalizing diplomatic ties, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid asked the UAE leaders to reconsider their decision. He said Muslims states’ divisions pushed them to the arrogant opportunist powers’ hands.

The Iranian Sunnis leader said in his Friday speech of August 21, 2020 that the UAE’s decision to normalize diplomatic relations with Israel caused a political controversy in the world.

He continued: “It is not enough to normalize relations with Israel just because of the unjust “deal of the century” has been suspended. In fact, whenever Israel ends the occupation and withdraws its troops from the occupied Palestinian territories, acknowledges the independent state of Palestine and a just peace is established, then the Muslim rulers should consult with each other about making diplomatic relations with Israel”.

President of Darululoom Zahedan emphasized: “In the current situation where the fate of the deal of the century is still unknown, normalizing relations with Israel is not appropriate for any of the Islamic countries, but all countries around the globe should avoid normalizing relations with Israel, because there is no confidence in Israel and Israel has never kept its promises”.

He added: “For decades, the Palestinians have been fighting for their legal rights. They were killed in defending their homeland; Israel is not willing to negotiate with the Palestinians and accept their legal rights”.

“We hope that the officials of the United Arab Emirates will reconsider their decision on normalizing relations with Israel”, the most influential scholar of Sunnis in Iran urged.

Divisions among Islamic countries pushed them to the occupiers
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid continued his speech by expressing regret over the current disputes among the Islamic countries and said: “Unfortunately, today Islamic countries have differences with each other and have become a threat against each other. The heads of the Islamic countries cannot agree with each other, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has not taken any action in this regard and has failed. Such divisions pushed the Muslim leaders to the arrogant occupier powers”.

He pointed out: “Islamic countries have many commonalities that unite them. One of the commonalities is Palestine. The land of Palestine, especially Jerusalem, belongs to all Muslims.”

Emphasizing on the importance of unity, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid advised Muslims and heads of the Islamic countries by saying: “The current situation requires that the leaders of the Islamic countries should be united”.

“Unfortunately, enemies have created divisions in Muslim countries”, he added.

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid believed that some powerful countries in the world make false promises to the leaders of the Islamic countries in order to bring them under their control. They just loot their national resources and give them dictations”.

Friday prayer leader of Zahedan stated: “Divisions and ethnic and religious conflicts have hit Islam and Muslims’ interests. In such a situation, Muslims and the leaders of the Islamic countries must avoid disputes and resolve their issues through negotiation and dialogue. So that the Palestinian people and other devastated Islamic countries will not be affected more”.

Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan said: “Divisions are the reason for oppression around the world. If there were not disputes, Muslims today would not be tortured and oppressed in different parts of the world by enemies”.

Pakistani officials must listen to the people of Balochistan
In the last part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed out to the murder of a Baloch student “Mohammad Hayat Baloch” in Pakistan’s Balochistan province and said: “The murder of Mohammad Hayat, a Baloch student in Pakistan’s Balochistan province by the Pakistani army’ FC has caused a great concern with a big protest . The FC forces separated the student from his parents and killed him”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid continued: “Although the officer who committed the murder has been identified and arrested, but it should be noted that the killing of this young man, who was the only high-educated member of his tribe, has caused more grief.”
“We hope that the Pakistani officials will pay more attention to Balochistan which is our neighbor. The voice of the people in Balochistan should be heard and their problems and demands should be considered in any possible way”, the Iranian Sunnis leader urged.

The famous Baloch scholar concluded his points by saying: “Pakistan’s Balochistan province is considered of the most deprived province of this country that requires the Pakistani leaders to make more efforts for the development of Balochistan and creating jobs; taking such measures are vital and it will bring national unity and security in Pakistan”.
