Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed to the position of good behavior and right belief in Islam in his Friday speech of February 14, 2020 saying that Islam has been spread around the world by good deeds and right belief.
Talking to thousands of worshippers in Zahedan, Iran, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “Allah has created the paradise for human beings; it belongs to those who avoid bad characters and prepare for the Day of Judgment”.
“The Holy Prophet PBUH said: I have been sent to perfect the moral character”, he added.
“Polytheism and false beliefs are the biggest immorality and injustice; disobedience of Allah’s commands is an ungrateful to Allah’s blessings”, Shaikh-ul-Islam said.
He forbade from sins and considered oppression, lies, and hypocrisy as big sins and counted honesty and truth as humans’ high qualities.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said that ungrateful of God’s blessings is the biggest injustice.
The Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan urged that Islam had not conquered the world by the force of sword; rather it conquered the world by good behavior and right beliefs.
Candidates should avoid lies and accusations during election campaigns
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid avoided candidates of the parliamentarian election and their supporters from accusations and lies against each other during election campaigns in the second part of his Friday speech of February 14, 2020.
He referred to the eleventh term of the parliamentary election campaign period and called on all parties to abide by the principles of morality and to refrain from slander and lies.
The Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “We are in the days of parliamentary election campaigns. In such times, lies, slander and defamation increase by candidates and their supporters against each other.
He said that unfortunately morality has fallen in our society today and immorality has spread, while we are Muslims with such guidance as the Qur’an and Sunnah; we should be moral teachers and role models for other nations.
The Iranian Sunnis’ leader said: “Immorality is a big danger which threatens Islamic community and the entire human society”.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged that candidates should not tell lie during election campaigns; they should avoid from false promises and accusations against each other.
Chinese government must end its oppression against its Muslims
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid reacted to the spread of Coronavirus in China and said: “We are sorry that the Chinese people are suffering from Coronavirus; all business flights have been canceled and people’s lives have been disrupted”.
“We believe that these diseases spread as a result of oppression against the Muslims of this country”, he said.
He added that Chinese authorities carried out all kinds of tortures and oppression against Muslims of their country.
“Chinese authorities have violated human rights; they tortured Muslims in various ways. Cruelty to innocents cause divine punishment”, the president of Darululoom Zahedan said.
“Our message to the Chinese is to end oppression against Muslims and to release the prisoners from camps to return to their families”, the Imam of Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan said.
He emphasized on the necessity of religious freedom, saying: “Under international laws all human beings are free to choose their religion; everyone can choose his/her religion, no one should put pressure on him/her”, he said.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said that the Chinese government must stop oppression against Muslims and release the prisoners in order to be protected from divine punishment.
Tablighi Jamaat is only a reformist movement
At the end of his speech, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “Some countries want to restrict the activities of Tablighi Jamaat while it is one of the best Islamic reformist movements emerged in the last century”.
He said that the purpose of this reformist organization was to invite Muslims to the Qur’an and Sunnah and to practicing the Shari’ah.
“According to the principles of the Tabligh movement, a preacher should act on Shari’ah first, then he should call on others to practice the Shari’ah”, he said.
The most influential leader of Sunnis in Iran urged: “The Tabligh movement is only a reformist social organization that has no political activities and aims; opposing this organization is the sign of ignorance”.
“The one who opposes Tablighi Jamaat will suffer losses”, he said.
