National, Provincial Officials & Seminaries Should Strive on Practical Unity

Alluding to the emphases of the Qur’an and Sunnah on maintaining Muslim Ummah’s unity, Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan advised provincial and national officials and directors as well as seminaries to strive for exerting “practical unity”.
The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan city and president of Darululoom Zahedan, reported his sermon of Nov. 23, 2018 where he said: “Unfortunately Muslims have been opposing each other and even they kill each other; while the Noble Qur’an and Hadith clearly call them to unity and solidarity introducing them “one nation”.”
“Unity of Muslim Ummah is not any analogical issue; rather the texts of the Qur’an and Sunnah urge on unity. It is not any subject to be explained by reasons, it is the obvious need of Muslim Ummah in these circumstances,” he added more.
The most influential Iranian Sunni leader said: “Unity cannot be achieved by mere slogans and words; it should be brought into act. All officials in the country have to act according practical unity. There should be unity in employments and all citizens should be behaved equally.”
“As a Sunni Imam I should not differentiate between Shia and Sunni comers and visitors. We should respect all Iranians regardless to their sect, then all other Muslims and think for mankind,” he added more.
Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan further said: “I’d like to convey my message to Shia and Sunni scholars, national and provincial officials, parties and associations to not discriminate Iranian nation. Religious seminaries and Islamic centers of the country should hold this opinion that there is no difference among Iranians and Muslims of the world. We should have fraternity with all Muslims over the world.”
“By practical unity we can approach durable unity and brotherhood and then to durable peace making our lines strong and impenetrable.”

Impartial directors are admirable
In another part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid welcomed the new provincial governor of Sistan-Baluchistan, Eng. Mouhebati who was in the gathering of Sunnis for the Friday prayers and called him an energetic and humble person.
He also thanked ministers of energy and youth for their several trips to Sistan-Baluchistan and said: “Any minister or director who can serve people without discrimination is respectable and admirable.”
At the end of his speech, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid alluded to the death of Haji Abdul-Wahhab, Amir of Tablighi Jamaa’t and prayed for his full forgiveness and called his demise a big loss for the Muslim Ummah.
