Hajj, an Example of Love to Allah and Imitation of His Commands

In the speech of July 27, 2018 before the Friday prayers in Zahedan, Iran, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid shed light on the importance of Hajj and its status in Islam calling it an example of love to Allah and Full Submission before His orders without demur.
Website of the office of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid reports, Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan began his sermon by reciting the Noble verse of the Qur’an: “إِنَّ أَوَّلَ بَيْتٍ وُضِعَ لِلنَّاسِ لَلَّذِي بِبَكَّةَ مُبَارَكًا وَهُدًى لِلْعَالَمِينَ*فِيهِ آيَاتٌ بَيِّنَاتٌ مَقَامُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَمَنْ دَخَلَهُ كَانَ آمِنًا وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ; Behold, the first House (of Prayer) established for mankind is the one at Bakkah: it is full of blessing and a center of guidance for the whole world. In it there are clear signs and the station of Abraham; whoever enters it becomes secure. Pilgrimage to the House is a duty owed to Allah by all who can make their way to it. As for those who refuse to follow His command, surely Allah does not stand in need of anything.” and said: “There are prophetic narrations that suggest Ka’bah had been built before the creation of Adam by angels. Some scholars think Adam built Ka’bah before building a home for himself; so it is the first worship place and mosque in the world.”
Reminding the audience on the history of rebuilding Ka’bah in Makkah al-Mokarramah on different occasions, president of Darululoom Zahedan said: “The most important anxiety of Ibrahim and Isma’eel, peace be upon them, while building Ka’bah was about the acceptance of this worshiping act. Whoever carries out any good work or builds any place, his main apprehension should be the acceptance of his act before the Almighty. There should be du’a to Allah for acceptance and it is the way of Ibrahim PBUH.”
He further talked about the importance of Hajj and said: “Hajj is an example of love to Allah and imitation of His commands without demur. The rituals in Hajj teach us obedience with whole power in any condition; rather we know the philosophy behind them or not.”
“Hajj is a unique worship. Pilgrims dress in white sheets which look like shroud of dead with a bare head and feet. Hajj ceremony is a great congress where people of different backgrounds, colors, languages and cultures gather. It is an opportunity for repentance and asking forgiveness from the Almighty,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid underlined.
He said: “Allah Almighty has made Masjid al-Haram a peaceful place in order to make it easy for pilgrims to perform Hajj. Scuffle and fighting is forbidden over there. Even animals and plants and flora are safe in that holy land and no one is allowed to kill a mosquito and break a branch of any tree.”
Khateeb of Sunnis alluded to the blessings of Haramayn and said: “Allah the Sublime has put many spiritual blessings in the holy land of Haramayn. Offering a prayer in Masjid al-Haram is equal to 100 thousand prayers and in Masjid an-Nabi it is like offering 50 thousand prayers.”
“A pilgrim whose Hajj is accepted like a newly-born child and s/he returns home without any sin. A new birth is achieved in Hajj and Arafat ground,” he added more.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid recommended pilgrims and said: “Respect the holy lands and behave very politely everyone. There should not be any lie, accusation and useless talk. It should be the problem of every pilgrim that his/her Hajj is accepted or not. During Hajj pilgrims are recommended to accompany scholars and those who are aware of the rulings of Hajj.”
