Breaking Covenant of Allah and People Brings Divine Curse

Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan warned the audience over breaking promises with Allah and people and termed “divine curse” and “heartlessness” the results of breaking promise.
Talking to tens of thousands worshipers in Zahedan on July 20, 2018, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid began his speech with the 12th verse of Maaedah chapter of the Noble Qur’an and said: “Whatever human beings need for prosperity, Allah Almighty has expressed it in the Noble Qur’an. Apart from it, the life of the prophet PBUH is also the best example before us. We should benefit from their lessons and directions.”
“Allah the Sublime has shed light on the ups and downs of different nations throughout the history in order to notify us about the reasons of prosperity and adversity. We should take lesson from their fate,” he added more.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “The promises of different nations have been mentioned in the Qur’an who broke or fulfil them. Allah warns nations about their promises and importance of their fulfilment.”
“Allah Almighty bestowed the Israelites – Bani Israel – kingdom and prophet-hood. He showed them many miracles saving them from Pharaoh who did not realized any right for Bani Israel. However, Allah warned them to be alert about His promises, but they broke the promises and Allah punished them,” he further said.
President of Darululoom Zahedan said: “Allah took oath from Bani Israel to offer prayers, pay Zakah, believe in prophets, support them and donate. In fact, those promises should be fulfilled by Muslims, too. Adherent people and nations receive divine blessings and forgiveness in this world.”
“As well as, those who broke the promises and showed disloyalty were cursed and their hearts were changed to stones. When hearts become hard, committing crimes and sins become easy. Thus Bani Israel used to refuse prophecy of prophets, torture or kill them. In the time of the last messenger PBUH Bani Israel conspired to stop Islam and terminate Muslims,” he said.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid urged on returning to Allah and said: “We all should repent and reform ourselves. Allah does not take back any blessing from a nation unless they show ingratitude. So be thankful to Allah and behave justly with all.”
