19th General Competitions of Sunni Seminaries Held in Zahedan

Dozens of students took part in the 19th provincial competitions of speech, essay writing and poetry in Islamic School of Mawlana Abdol-Aziz in Zahedan, Iran. The three-day long competition was concluded on Thursday 22nd Feb. 2018.
“SunniOnline” learnt in this series of final competition, 170 students from different seminaries of Sistan-Baluchistan province vied in Persian, Arabic, English and Baluchi languages.
In these competitions, students take part in regional level competitions and the winners can participate in provincial competitions. Each year the office of the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries hold the competitions.
Talking to students and teachers in the inaugural meeting of the competitions, Mufti Abdul-Qader Arefi said: “Students and graduates of Islamic schools should pay attention to learn the language of the modern world, make Islamic and modern sciences together and serve Islam by tongue and pen.”
Mufti Mohammad Qasem Qasemi, head of Darul-Iftaa Darululoom Zahedan also talked the students, teachers and judges of the 19th competitions.
He said: “Such competitions are for training students and making them preachers and reformers in future. It is for serving people.”
In the final meeting, the position holders were honored by prizes and shields. Also 12 Huffadh of the Islamic school of Mawlana Abdol-Aziz were honored, too.
