Speech of Ml. Ab. Hamid Distorted by Sinister Elements

Recently a network of professional liars and fabricators fabricated a video from the speech of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid about the Kermanshah earthquake in an amateurish editing.
The most influential Iranian Sunni leader has said in his Friday sermon of 17th Nov. 2017: “The quake in Kermanshah or in any other particular area does not mean their acts were bad and people in other region act well; in fact the acts of all of us are not good. Allah sends down His punishment to any town to admonish and alert the people of all areas and towns.”
But the fabricators cut some parts of the statement showing as Mawlana Abdol-Hamid claims “the quake affected people of Kermanshah because of their sins and they should repent.”
In another part of the fabricated news which was republished by extremist websites and pages in the virtual world, it was claimed falsely that Shaikh Abdol-Hamid had said: “Kurds did not believe in God, they committed sins, so God punished and destroyed all of them.”
The office of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid issued a statement rebuffing the claims of the sinister elements.
According to the statement, Khateeb of Zahedan only called such incidents ‘alarms’ calling on all people to be vigilant. In the same time he asked the officials and common people to help the victims of the quake. He termed help of the victims ‘Jihad’ in the way of Allah.
The statement adds: “Those who cannot tolerate the unity of Iranian Sunnis and nation, they do not leave any stone unturned to create disputes between Ulama and people defaming piteous members of the society.”
Meanwhile dozens of activists, scholars, members of the parliament and public figures decried the act of extremists. They also condemned the statements of some MPs who repeated the claims of the sectarian sides who just want to create infightings.
