Present Islam According to Time’s Requirements

The Friday imam of Sunnis in Zahedan, Iran criticized ‘summarizing Islam in one command’ and called on all Islamic groups and tendencies to introduce Islam and present it with the requirements of time.
The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid reported, he said in his sermon of 24th Nov. 2017: “Islam should be comprehended and presented to the world as it is. Muslims have different conceptions and readings about Islam, but we should not restrict the circle of Islam. It includes all parts of life.”
“There are people who study some books perfunctorily and they think they have understood the Noble Qur’an and Hadith. While correct comprehension of Islam cannot be achieved but by studying under the guardian and supervision of Ulama and their company,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid pointed out.
He further said: “The extremists should listen to the advice of Ulama. If they do so, surely they will not be regretful and it will not damage Islam. Ulama have good wishes for all and they have more knowledge about religious issues than others.”
“The end of extremism is deadlock doubtlessly. Those who have chosen extremism as their way should review their opinions; they should not avoid Ulama and Islamic scholars calling all of them “betrayers of Islam”,” the president of Darululoom Zahedan underlined.
Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “Some youth -who are influenced by their emotions-, think Islam means ‘Jihad’, while Islam is the religion of “notion”, “thinking” and “discretion”. We should think that against whom the prophet, peace be upon him, was fighting with which kind of worldview and policy? It was the point which made people of that time fond of Islam.”
“We should keep in mind the ongoing circumstances of the world and avoid the acts which give the enemies tools for anti-Islam propaganda. The prophet of Islam was the prophet of mercy and peace for all; however the enemies want to frighten the world from him, PBUH,” he added more.
The chairman of the CCSS urged: “Of course ‘Jihad’ is legitimate in Islam, but it is legal when there is no way to reform any society but using power. Jihad in Islam is against occupiers like Israel who do not believe in logic and dialogue and justice. Taking arm against Muslims is not Jihad.”
He decried ‘Takfir of Muslims’ and said: “Some people issue verdict declaring other Muslims ‘infidel’ or ‘apostate’. It is a very big sin to call any Muslim ‘Kafir’. Islam is not the religion of ‘Takfir’; it is a vast religion which includes all tendencies. Allah clearly says: “وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَنْ أَلْقَى إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامَ لَسْتَ مُؤْمِنًا; and do not say to him who offers you the greeting of peace: ‘You are not a believer.’”
“We’d like to recommend all Muslims with different tendencies and thoughts to avoid extremism and narrow-mindness. We should be sober and far-sighted and present Islam in accordance with the circumstances of the time in modern language,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid concluded his points.

Muslim rulers think of Muslims’ problems before exchanging remarks
The Iranian Sunni leader advised Muslim rulers and said: “The colonial powers want to create dispute among Muslim countries. We all should be vigilant. Muslim statesmen must avoid harsh remarks against each other; instead they should prefer the words which persuade others to meditate and help in abatement of tensions.”
“Before any remarks, Muslim rulers should think of Muslim masses’ problems; disputes among Muslim states have been growing up day by day and Muslims’ lives are being destroyed in different countries. They should find any solution for these crises,” he added more.
Khateeb of Sunnis alluded to the situation of some Arab states and said they should sit together to decrease their problems and form comprehensive governments.
