SunniOnline: The series of insulting the Companions of the prophet PBUH have not ended yet… in the new wave of insulting incidents within a week two newspapers and a senior MP insulted Abu-Mousa Ash’ari, the Mother of the Believers Ayishah and the Guided Caliphs, may Allah be pleased with them.
Sunni figures from different classes and areas of Iran have showed their anger on the insult of Sahabah and condemned it strongly.
According to details, last week Watan-e-Emrooz, a conservative daily newspaper called the great companion Abu-Mousa Ash’ari “Munafiq bin Kafir/hypocrite s/o disbeliever” and made it a headline on the front page.
On the same day, a sport newspaper from Tehran quoted a reformist university professor insulting the Mother of the Believers Sayyidah Ayishah, may Allah be pleased with her.
Reacting to the incident, Mohammad Qaseem Osmani, a Sunni MP and member of the executive board of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) clearly criticized the newspapers and asked the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance to notice the issue.
Meanwhile, Dr. Zibakalam responded to a letter of Habibullah Marjani, once of the teachers of Darululoom Zahedan. He apologized the Sunni community over the insulting quote in his interview with Navad sport newspaper.
Dozens of Sunni Friday imams of different parts of Iran showed their outrageous reaction to the insult of the companions of the prophet, peace be upon him.
In another sorrowful incident, Javad Karimi Ghodoosi insulted the Guided Caliphs, may Allah be pleased with them. Karimi Ghodoosi was talking to worshipers in the state-run Friday ceremony for prayers on 3rd March, 2017 in Mashhad.
Comparing his political rival and the ex-president Ayatollah Hashemi with the first two caliphs Abu-Bakr and Omar, may Allah be pleased with them, as their graves are in the sacred chamber of Rasoulullah PBUH, he criticized the interment of late Hashemi in the chamber of Ayatollah Khomeini. He also termed the first three Guided Caliphs the ‘source of misleading’.
The Sunni bloc of the Majlis, Iranian parliament, showed a strong reaction to the insult of Ghodoosi who is a MP from Mashhad. Protesting to the incident, the Sunni members of the parliament wrote a letter to the speaker.
The vice-speaker of the parliament has informed the media representatives that they had noticed the issue and recognized the behavior of Ghodoosi ‘against the status of a member of the parliament.’
Before this, the supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued a fatwa and said: “Insulting figures and symbols celebrated by Sunni brethren, including the wife of the Prophet of Islam [Aisha] is prohibited. This includes the wives of all prophets, particularly the master of all prophets Muhammad, peace be upon him.”
He has stated in another statement: “Disrespecting the pure wives of the Prophet (pbuh) should be avoided. The Prophet’s PBUH wives are all respectable; anyone who insults any of them has insulted the Prophet. I resolutely declare this offensive.”
The Iranian Sunnis criticize the politicians and clerics on neglecting the decree and statements of the supreme leader over the respect of Sunni sanctities. They have demanded the legitimate authorities to legislate the crime of insulting Sahabah and Ahl-ul-Bait, the companions and household of the prophet, peace be upon him.
