Pointing out to the responsibilities of Muslims, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed ‘reformation of society’ the main attribute of the Muslim nation. He was talking to thousands of worshipers in Zahedan city of Iran.
The official website of the office of Mawlana Abdol-Hamid reported the sermon of him delivered on Friday 24th Feb. 2017.
He began his speech by the recitation of the Noble verse of the Qur’an: «كُنْتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَلَوْ آمَنَ أَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ مِنْهُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ» and said: “Allah Almighty has made the Muslim nation a sober and temperate nation, and then introduced it as the best nation. This nation has been dispatched to benefit the people around the world.”
“Although the nation of Bani-Isra’il (sons of Isra’il) was the favorite nation of its time, but the Muslim nation is the best nation until the last day of this world. Muslims imitate the best prophet and worship Allah better than others,” he added more.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan further said: “Faith and good deeds are the other prominent attributes of the Muslim Ummah. This nation gives importance to iman/faith more than any other nation. Although they carry out good deeds in accordance with their faith and rulings of the prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him.”
“The prophets of the past nations used to lead people in the political and religious issues. But the Muslim nation is supposed to guide people in all aspects of life. They should be good and struggle to enjoin others to be good, too. Muslims are reformists who should work hard to uproot evil and bad deeds,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid underlined.
The prominent Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan said: “The members of Muslim nation should work hard to reform the society and forbid people from bad activities and evil. This is the main attribute of Muslims on other nations. We can be happy for this attribute only when we carry out our duties.”
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid termed Islam a ‘mercy for all’ and said: “Muslim nation should not introduce itself by terrorism and ruthless massacre to the world, because this nation is not the nation of extremism. Rather the Muslim nation has a wide viewpoint and it is a mercy for everyone in the world as the Noble Qur’an introduced the Messenger of Allah a ‘mercy for the worlds’.”
“The extremists of Shias and Sunnis should know the vision of the Muslim nation is not the viewpoint of extremism. The souls of the Messenger of Allah, Sahabah and his households cannot be happy with Muslims who are indulged in extremism. Muslim Ummah should be the reason of bliss and welfare for the whole mankind. Jihad is against arrogant tyrants not the ones who do not accept Islam,” he underlined.
Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan added more: “Reformation of the society and the duty of enjoining towards goodness and forbidding from badness is the main responsibility of the Muslim nation. We all should have sympathy for people of different classes and strive to purify the society. We are supposed to call on the society to move towards acting upon Shari’ah and good morals.”
In another part of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged on equipping children and new generations with modern and Islamic sciences. The future relates to those who give importance to knowledge and science. There must be a comprehensive planning for educating children and admitting them in good seminaries and universities.”
He also called on the citizens of Zahedan to welcome President Rouhani on Tuesday where he would take part in the inaugural ceremony of gas project in Zahedan city.
Zahedan is the provincial capital of Sistan-Baluchistan of Iran which has been deprived from gas and gas pipelines.
