The outstanding Iranian Sunni leader termed the recent report of the US Senate on the brutality and deception of CIA a ‘big defamation’ for the USA in his latest sermon on Dec. 12, 2014 in Zahedan, Iran.
Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan, Iran, alluded to the report of the US senate and said, “The summary of areport detailing George W. Bush–era CIA detention and interrogation policies was released on Tuesday. The report affirms the CIA’s use of torture to question suspected culprits after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. It is a big notoriety for the US leaders who claim to respect democracy calling the US ‘center’ of civilization and democracy.”
“A confession that is taken by torture is rejected in the view of Islam as well as the international laws. Such confessions cannot be accepted as they are not valid in justice-providing courts everywhere,” he underlined.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan stated, “The use of torture by CIA had taken place by approval of the US administration; thus the president of the US and the rest of US leaders must conduct an unbiased probe into the matter. Whoever committed crimes by torture should be tried; trial of the culprits who were behind these crimes can get the US out of this defamation; it is the only way of rehabilitation.”
Process of recognitionof Palestine is a positive move
The prominent Islamic scholar urged on the freedom of Palestine and end of the occupation of Palestine in another part of his speech before tens of thousands worshippers in Zahedan.
He said, “We would like to recommend the West and whoever claim to fight against extremism and terrorism to struggle for freedom of Palestine; they must work hard to stop Israel from occupation. Because,according to scholarly researches, the main reason behind international crises is the crimes of Israel against the Palestinian nation.”
“Unjust and irrational support of Israel caused heavy damages for the supporters of Israel, common people and nations who kept silent on the crimes of this sinister regime,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid further said.
Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan concluded his points by saying, “Withdrawal of Israel, liberation and independence of Palestine will be a great step towards a peaceful world and on the path of fighting against terrorism. By the blessings of Allah, we witness many European parliamentssuggesting their governments to recognize the independent state of Palestine as they ask Israel to withdraw from Palestinian territories. Of course it is a positive move. We hope the international community acts upon its slogans on democracy and freedom correctly.”
