18th Meeting of Islamic Fiqh Academy of Iran

 

 

 

The 18th meeting of the Islamic Fiqh Academy of Iran was held in Darululoom Zahedan on Saturday, 27 April, 2013.

“SunniOnline” reported the 2-day-long meeting began its activities on Saturday morning. It was continued until the next day.
Many eminent Islamic Sunni scholars from the Sistan-Baluchistan, Golestan, Fars, Central Khorasan and Southern Khorasan provinces took part in the 18th meeting of the Islamic Fiqh Academy in Zahedan.
The members of the academy discussed six important juridical issues of ruling on ‘hunting animals by machine guns’, ‘postponed dowry’s decreasing value’, ‘shares’, ‘mortgage and rent of houses’, ‘salaries and facilities of disabled or dead teachers of seminaries’ and ‘interference and multiplicity of murder compensation’.    
The Islamic Fiqh Academy of Iran was established in 1998 to resolve and discuss juridical affairs of Muslims in Darululoom Zahedan under the guidelines of Shaikh-ul-Islam Maulana Abdol-Hameed.
In the beginning, scholars and muftis of the Sistan-Balochistan province were its members. Then, some scholars of Khorasan and Golestan joined the academy, prominent Shafe’i scholars of Kurdistan, Fars, and Hormozgan provinces are also members of the academy.
