The eminent Islamic Sunni scholar, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hameed Ismaeelzahi, began his sermon by reading the Qur’anic verse: “واتقوا یوما ترجعون فیه الی الله ثم توفی کل نفس ما کسبت و هم لایظلمون” on the occasion of the finishing Holy Qur’an in Tarawih prayers at 29th Ramadan, 2012, in the Grand Makki Masjid of Zahedan, Iran.
He made it clear that 29th of Ramadan was one of important nights of Holy Ramadan that is a possible Qadr night. May Allah bestow us the rewards of worships of one thousand month only by His mercy.
Talking to tens of thousands Sunni worshippers gathered in the Grand Makki Masjid and surrounding streets, Shaikh Abdol-Hameed expressed his points about the recited verse saying, ‘This verse is a warning that should shake a true believer. Allah says fear of a day in which you would return to Allah; one day all of us would taste death. That trip will be to meet Allah; unfortunately many people have neglected that day and the grave. Remember! All of us would be questioned over deeds and actions we did in this mortal life.’
Shaikh Ismaeelzahi declared incidents and punishments after demise “insufferable” and stated that no one can bear the horrible incidents after the death. Everybody would be repent remorsefully. Compunction will be very useless on the Resurrection day. Regretfully, now-a-days most of people just think how to gather more and more money and wealth. They are neglecting the Hereafter life that is everlasting. So do not miss the remaining days of the mortal life; prepare something for the immortal life from good deeds.
Khateeb of Sunnis pointed more saying “weakness in knowledge” is not the main problem, rather feebleness in deeds is the real matter. People are aware of the rights of Allah and His servants; they know the ruling of Shari’ah but show negligence. They know well about the rulings of prayers, Zakah and fasting. This weakness in deeds is due to faintness in beliefs and undeniable death.
‘What for mankind is waiting to make him/her adopting Allah’s directions? Are they awaiting death to force them towards good deeds? So we must take advantage of this life; it is an opportunity for us. Leave sins and return to Allah Almighty faithfully.
The ceremony was ended up with humble prays of Shaikh Abdol-Hameed and supplicant Muslims to Allah for the acceptance of Muslims’ worships; they made Du’a for the oppressed Muslims particularly helpless Muslim men and women of Burma and Syria asking Allah to make the ongoing freedom-seeking movements in the Middle East victorious.
