Hafedh Muhammad Ali Shahbakhsh released on bail

ZAHEDAN/MASHHAD- The eminent Islamic scholar and senior teacher of Darululoom Zahedan, Shaikh Hafedh Muhammad Ali Shahbakhsh, was released on bail in northern city of Iran, Mashhad, on Wednesday evening Dec. 14, 2011.

“SunniOnline” reports that he was summoned to the Special Court for Clerics in Mashhad, where the authorities sent him to the central jail, three weeks ago on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011.

The court demanded 400 million Tooman (about 350000 USD) to free the ex-rector of Darululoom Imam Abuhanifa of Sistan. Finally, Shaikh Muhammad Ali Shahbakhsh was released on 14th December 2011.

It should be noted that he had been detained three times before and remained in jail for more than 13 months. In his recent detention, he was incarcerated in the quarantine of Mashhad’s central jail along with 400 more prisoners instead of the particular internode of scholars.

Still, there are two teachers of Darululoom in the Zahedan and Yazd jails.
