Criticism over confiscation of Sunnis’ properties in Bandar Lengeh

HORMOZGAN- Shiite khateeb of Bandar-e-Lengeh, southern Iran, criticized seizure of Sunnis’ properties and halt of their developmental projects by official departments.

A local news website, “Hormozgan News”, reported that Mr. Rokni, Khateeb of the Shiite community in Bandar-e-Lengeh criticized strongly personnel of “Center of Imam’s Charter”, an official department based in the city and pointed, ‘I have no any information about these people; they seize properties of Sunni brothers intractably, they halt some developmental projects of them as well.’

‘Is there any rule in Bandar-e-Lengeh? On which bases they expropriate properties and stop projects of the Sunni community?’ he asked the officials.

It is noteworthy that “Center of Imam’s Charter” was founded in 1989 to implement the article 49 of the constitution that suggests confiscation of properties of former ruling family, Pahlavi regime. It was founded by an order of Ayatollah Khomeini, ex-leader of Iran.
