ZAHEDAN: Celebrating over the assassination of Osama bin Laden proves lack of sagacity and wisdom, violence can not be stopped by elimination of some one, but such powers must change their barbaric and graceless policies, Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunna pointed in his latest Friday sermon in Zahedan.
Reviewing of the assassination of Osama bin Laden, Shaikh Abdul Hameed urged saying, ‘The rulers and some other groups in the US and European states celebrated the death of Osama bin Laden which shows their asininity; instead of jubilation they should meditate over the root causes of insecurity and violence around the world. Unfortunately, some individuals consider themselves the most intelligent and foresighted as they hold rule of any country.’
‘Israel declares some organizations ‘terrorists’ in Palestine and Lebanon as the arrogant powers considers freedom fighters and Mujahideen the ‘insurgents’ and terrorists in Iraq and Afghanistan, the question must be asked from such cruel occupiers; what has compelled these people to hold guns and fight? He asked.
Respectable Sunni scholar continued saying that all the Islamic movements and networks which are accused for spreading violence and terrorism have been forced to take weapons and fight; the wild acts and tyrannical policies of America and its allies gave birth to such resistance organizations. The reaction should be expected too, when the Western powers practice such brutal acts, they deprive Muslim masses from their rights and declare themselves ‘kings’ of the world.
The eminent Islamic scholar emphasized, ‘Violence never would be finished by assassination of Osama bin Laden; if you (the western powers) kill thousands Osama, terrorism will not be rooted out, rather you can get rid of suicide bombings and insecurity by elimination of autocracy and dictatorship.’
Shaikh Abdul Hameed pointed that the arrogant rulers must leave arrogance and being overconfident. In the same way president of America must listen to the oppressed Palestinian nation. He must give importance to the demands of people in the Middle East and Afghanistan instead of shooting them. The US rulers should bring changes and provide freedom to all nations.
Khateeb of Sunnis added more, ‘Americans claim that there is complete democracy and freedom of speech in their country; no doubt there are some liberties in the US in religious affairs and elections are democratic, even in a communist state like Russia Muslims built new mosques in Moscow recently, last Ramadan they had khatm-e-Qur’an in 50 mosques of Moscow, but on the other hand, Russia is not ready to provide justice to the Chechnyans. As well as America supports Israel with all sorts of means and facilities and deprives Palestinians and other oppressed nations from their rights; this is tyranny!’
Shaikh further said that the rulers of some Muslim states did not listen to their masses and earned defamation eventually, dictators of Tunisia, Egypt, Syria, Yemen and Libya were not ready to bring reformation and provide people their legal rights. So the voices of masses changed into explosions and violence.’
At the end, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan urged that it seems the people of Middle East will get rid of dictatorship soon and, God willing, their problems would be resolved. So the authorized figures should accept positive criticism, ban on positive criticism ends up to eruption of revolutions. Criticism decreases scale of autocracy.
