Mawlana Taj Muhammad; a Great Scholar of Baluchistan
m_tajmuhammadThe prominent and great Islamic scholar Mawlana Taj Muhammad Bozorgzade son of Esmaeel was born in 1917 in “Naskand” (نسکند) village of Sarbaaz city, Baluchistan, Iran.

His educational journeys:

Mawlana Taj Muhammad left his homeland in 1926 to Karachi, the largest city of present Pakistan, to get Islamic education. He got admission in “Taleem-ul-Qur’an” seminary of Chakiwara, located in Liyari area of Karachi. After receiving basic education, he joined “Madhhar-ul-Uloom” (مظهرالعلوم) Khadda for further Islamic education; Shaikh stayed six years  in the most famous and well-oriented seminary of that time in the region. Meanwhile, he visited some Islamic schools of Sindh area such as “Madrsa Peerjhanda” and acquired from the expert teachers and scholars.
Shaikh Muhammad Sadiq and Hafidh Fazl Ahmad (may Allah have mercy on them) were his senior teachers in Madhhar-ul-Uloom Khadda.
Mawlana Taj Muhammad was so eager to receive more knowledge as he enrolled in Darululoom Deoband in 1934. He attended classes (dars) of the most senior and top Islamic scholars of Darululoom Deoband, India like Shikh-ul-Arab wal Ajam Mawlana Hussein Ahmad Madani, Mawlana Aizaz Ali, Qari Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi, Mawlana Edrees Kandhlwi, Mawlana Shabbir Ahmad Usmani, Shaikh Abdul Haq Nafe’ Gul and Shaikh Abdul Khaliq (may Allah place all of them in Janna). Mawlana Taj Muhammad completed his education in Darululoom Deoband.

His teaching life:

Shaikh got graduation in 1946 and departed from Deoband towards Baluchistan region, before division of subcontinent India and Pakistan’s independence. Mawlana Bozorgzade taught for two years in “Khoda A’badan” area of Panjgour city of Baluchistan. Following this, Shaikh joined “Madhhar-ul-Uloom” Khadda, Karachi where he remained teacher for two years.

Foundation of “Anzaa” seminary:

Mawlana Taj Muhammad was so keen to serve his own nation as he returned to his homeland “Naskand”, Sarbaaz. The great Da’ee, Mawlana Abdul Aziz Mullazada invited him to teach in “Anzaa” seminary of Dipkur (دپکور) village of Sarbaaz; this Islamic school was shifted to “Anzaa” (انزاء) village of the same district after shifting of Shaikh Abdul Aziz to Zahedan, the capital city of Sistan-Baluchistan province.
So Khaikh Taj Muhammad established this great seminary by the help of Allah and support of late Shaikh Muhammad Omar Sarbaazi and other Muslims. Madrassa of Anzaa has been playing an important role in the region over Islamic wakefulness and upbringing of new generation.

His books:

Shaikh Bozorgzada has written and compiled some books in various topics in Persian language, like:
1.     Rah-e-Nijat راه نجات
2.     Sirat-e-Mustaqeem صراط مستقیم
3.     Me’raje Jismani Hazrate Muhammad  معراج جسمانی حضرت محمدصلی الله علیه وسلم
4.     Rashahat bar Masalay Zakatبرمسئله زکات  رشحات
5.     Maqame Abu Bakr Siddiq R.A مقام ابوبکرصدیق رضی الله عنه
6.     A’dabe Islami dar Partwe Qur’an u Sunnat آداب اسلامی درپرتو قرآن وسنت

His service for people:

He served every Muslim as a Mufti in the region and was answering their religious questions. He was resolving disputes among people by “Qadha” (judgment). Besides, he took very applaudable steps to root out innovations and superstitions from his rounding area.

Departure of Shaikh:

After passing 69 years in the fields of teaching, fatwa and preaching Islam, he passed away on Saturday, 18 April 2009. He was 99.
Late Mawlana was laid to rest in Anzaa village. A great number of ulema and citizens participated in his funeral prayer.
By his demise, Ahl-us-Sunna of Iran lost another great graduate of Darululoom Deoband in Iran.
May Allah place him in Jannah with Anbiya, Shuhadaa and Saliheen, Ameen.
