Abdullah bin Zubair; the Flagman of Justice

Abdullah bin Zubair; the Flagman of Justice
a-zubairAbdullah son of Zubair son of Khalid was one of glorious companions of the holy Prophet (PBUH). Being a famous horse-rider the history has recorded his name for his sacrifices, righteousness, bravery and faith. His father was one of those who were blessed by God under the tree( Ten – blessed ). His mother Asma- daughter of Abo Bakr_ was a brave woman who assisted the holy Prophet (PBUH) and her father in their migration (Hijra) from Mecca to Madina in 622 A .D

Abdullah was born in the first year of Hijrat and The holy prophet (PBUH) named him as Abdullah. In the era of the third caliph, Uthman bin Affan when he was surrounded by rebels, Abdullah defended him courageously. During the Jamal clash he fought devotedly and sustained serious injuries while defending the mother of the believers- A’yisha Seddiqa (Radhiyallah Anha).
At the time of Hazrat Muawiya (May God be pleased with him) Abdullah remained neutral towards him playing no significant role but when he appointed his son Yazid as his successor Abdullah clearly protested and moved to Makkah.
After the demise of Muawiya he made Makkah as base of his activities. He was hanged to death by the forces of Hajjaj Bin Yousuf Saqafi during his invasion to Makka.
May God be pleased with him, and may spread his unique love for justice in the hearts of all Muslims of the world.
