Shaikh Abdul Hameed, Imam and preacher of Friday prayers for Sunnis in Zahedan has condemned the Israel’s aggressive raid on “Freedom Flotilla”, saying, “The arrogant and usurpers Zionists have been violating the international laws for a long time and still they have continued violating, as they snatch the basic rights of Palestinians and occupy their properties. Acting on their policies Israel attacked the previous days on relief worker Flotilla it proves that it is a terrorist state which initiates terrorism acts on global level.”
Shaikh added, “It is very amazing that those states and organizations which have been chanting “war on terror in the world” but the same groups them selves support Israel which assassinates Palestinian and kill unarmed civilians.”
Shaikh Abdul Hameed pointed to the affliction of Palestinian people particularly they have been trapped in Gaza further he said, “The people of Gaza are blockaded unfairly, they do not have the essential needs of life such as food, medicine and others; even when a flotilla relief that carry food nothing else was coming towards them Israel attack on them brutally and barbarically.
Imam of the largest Sunni mosque in Iran declared it the barbaric and savage act of Israel, as well as he said it is the root of insecurity in the region and more said, “Every country especially United Nations and other global institutions, major powerful countries like United States, China, Russia and members of the Security Council should know that peace and security in the region can not be achieved as long as the Zionist state of Israel continue her criminal and fierce acts and contrary actions violating the international laws and removing the basic human rights, Israel is the backbone of the whole terrorist acts in the region.”
Shaikh urged, “Security never comes unless you response to the appeal of weak opponents and realize the shouts of oppressed nations.
These forces must listen to weaks in the world as well as they should remove their occupation from the Muslim lands, and solve the matters by delegation and let them govern themselves as they want, whether they adopt the way of peace and security or fighting and destruction.”
The great Sunni leader addressed international organizations and said, “All the governments and global institutions must take care of justice and ensure providing basic human rights of Gaza’s people.” He added, “We condemn this heinous crime against humanity and ask the global organizations to struggle against the siege on Gaza.
In the first part of his sermon, Mulana Abdul Hameed talked on the occasion of Ayatollah Khomeini’s anniversary, the founder of revolution and said, “The movement which led by the revolutionary founder Ayatollah Khomeini was characterized by its publicly type, although the victory in that revolution became possible by the support of the people, in the same way the maintenance of revolution also will depend on this public support. The rulers must accept the people’s demands and listen to their views as well as they should ensure consultation with the parties who are the inhabitants of the same country.
The Grand Sheikh indicated to one of the most famous revolutionary slogans, I mean: “brotherhood and equality between Shiites and Sunnis” further he added, “I remember the saying of Ayatollah Khomeini, where he said: “The Shias and Sunnis are brothers and equal in rights.”
When Sheikh Abdul Aziz, the founder of Darululoom Zahedan, (may God mercy on him) asked Ayatollah Khomeini to give license to build a mosque in Tehran, he accepted at the same time, but unfortunately because of the intrusion of some extremist elements still the Sunnis are not allowed to build a mosque in the capital.”
Referring to the interval between the Sunnis and the administrators, Khateeb of Makki mosque said, “Unfortunately, a part of our representatives in the parliament there is no direct link between the Sunnis and the administrators to state their problems.
The President’s advisor for the Sunnis affairs is also not able to fill this existing gap, he does not have an effective role in resolving the matters of the Sunnis, and rarely they consult him. He may not reconcile to the president’s visit for a long time.
Once I met the Adviser of the President in Tehran over an issue, he said I could not meet the President for one year! With this how can we expect that he can play a positive role in the follow-up of the Sunnis’ issues to resolve them?”
He added: “Sunni community is a part of this country. They only want citizenship and their rights to observe religious brotherhood and patriotism.
We hope rulers would go forward regarding the mentioned statement of the founder of the revolution that Sunnis and Shiites are equal in rights, so Sunnis also should have all their legitimate rights in the country.”
