‘The repatriation of Afghan refugees must not be with provoking horror among the people’
molana30Shaikh Abdul Hameed, Imam and khateeb of Friday prayers in Zahedan, condemned the raid of Iranian police on the streets of Zahedan city on last Thursday where mostly Balochs live they asked them their identity cards. Police have detained many citizens from Zahedan’s streets.

He added, “I recommend all the officials of security forces and others to find out problems of those citizens who do not have identity cards, in this task they can take the help of tribal elders and scholars of related area. The forces should avoid from raiding markets and operating the streets with buses and trucks and detention of those who do not have identity cards. Such actions and communications do not solve the problems; government never can bring any safety and other protection arrangement by this way, but such horror actions and showing alienation to the public which really damage the peace and security of any area. Such actions due to having negative effects made the people upset in their works as well as when they see it they feel loss of security and horror.”
Grand Shaikh further said that the siege of markets, where the people do their businesses and they do their other activities of life, in addition to it the confiscation of CDs of Sunni scholars which consist of preaching and religious speeches which never damage security and system of life. As every knows that the main duty of police and security forces is to implement peace and harmony in the society, but such activities and coming out daily a big crowd of police in the usual life by itself enhance the horror and terror among the people as well as it increases the sense of lack of confidence in their souls.
Shaikh-ul-Islam asked, “Who instructed the police to collect Islamic CDs containing speeches and sermons of scholars? What is the relevance of these religious disks and security?”
Great Sunni leader continuing his speech saying, “We have received many complaints from the public about the recent actions of police in the city and it caused me to talk about the going on mission which State wants to implement it. Rather the repatriation and returning mater of Afghan refugees to their country, as many times we have advised them to return to their country -although the Rate in Business and Economics have received  a great negative affection because of their returning- but this decision issued by the government.
Another issue that is coming up by the officials nowadays is the issue of those Iranians who have files about their cards in the Personal Status Office, but they did not take those documents because of different reasons and motives. Now police arrest them on charges of being Afghan citizen, however they belong to this country and they are indigenous Iranian citizens.”
Where they can go if such Iranian citizens were deported from Iran? Afghan or Pakistani citizen would go to their country, but Iranian citizens where do they go? Asked Shaikh-ul-Islam Mulana Abdul Hameed.
The head of the largest Sunni university indicated to another issue that belongs to properties and identity cards of people, he said that birth certificates can not prove the Iranian nationality of anyone because many residents of our area did not receive cards like identity card, marriage certificate and other official certificates, as well as in several cases they did not register their properties and lands in government departments which they have got it from their parents and grand fathers because of different motives and causes such as security in the past, even though they are actual inhabitants of the province and certainly they are Iranian citizens but their properties, agricultural lands and congenital estates have been seized by the official departments recently. The main argument of the Natural Resources Department is that they have not registered it in government circles; there is no doubt that they confiscate such assets and personal property ungodly.
He added “I have warned these consequences of such official elements.”
Imam of the largest mosque of Sunnis in Iran Sheikh Abdul Hameed urged, “These real estates and lands are their fathers, properties for long time more than 400 years but the lifetime of this regime which is about to only 31-years-old, then how some official departments can confiscate the properties and real estates under the pretext of failure to register in government departments?”
He continued, “The state must follow up the issue of the Iranian people, who do not have identity cards or birth certificates in a fair and proper fit for citizen status. Moreover the State should take the help of scholars and tribal elders in order to resolve such critical issues of nationality of some one.
We should keep in our mind that the establishment never can handle the solution of a single problem and other crises in our province without taking help of its residents. Whatever we have been observing for a long time like neglecting of residents of the province and taking them away from the deserving posts, departments and to plan against them by using authorities is an unsuccessful step in resolving regional issues; we believe that the government would not be able to implement justice among the people without using of all communities in the authorized departments.”
Sheikh pointed out the unemployment of Sunnis on the deserved seats as the biggest problem experienced by the Sunnis in Iran saying, “The biggest problem which we experience in the region is unemployment of the Sunnis and their deprivation in government departments, if the residents of Sistan & Baluchistan were given public services in the Department of Personal Registration in the province we would not suffer today this problem.”
