Highlights from Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol Hamid’s speech addressing the teachers and students of Darul Uloom Nobandian / Monday, October 28, 2024:

Knowledge_and_Scholarship

📌 “Knowledge is immensely important and essential. Without it, the development of the world is impossible, as it is the cornerstone of progress.”
📌 “Agriculture and industry are also fruits of knowledge. If our intentions are righteous and we aim to build the world with divine purpose, then farming, animal husbandry, and industry become forms of worship for us, as earning a lawful livelihood is a religious duty.”
📌 “Allah is displeased with the idleness of healthy, able individuals and prefers that His servants work during the day and rest at night.”
📌 “Both humanity and the world need building, and this can only be achieved through knowledge. The development of human beings is fulfilled through religious knowledge, which is crucial, transformative, and a source of moral refinement.”
📌 “Students should begin their studies with sincere intentions, learning for the sake of Allah, to teach the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Hadith to others.”
📌 “True success is achieved when all actions are done for Allah’s sake. Knowledge should be acquired to act in accordance with the Shari’ah, spread the faith, serve humanity, and seek Allah’s pleasure, approaching Him through righteous actions and good character.”
📌 “The fruits of hard work and perseverance are incomparable to anything else.”

Worship

📌 “Scholars should uphold the Sunnah and adhere to the recommended practices, just as obligatory acts bring us closer to Allah. Practicing recommended deeds also has a profound effect. The stronger the piety and devotion, the firmer the faith will become.”
📌 “Scholars should be both worshippers and practitioners, regularly reciting the Qur’an and engaging in remembrance of Allah.”
📌 “Allah descends to the lowest heaven during the night. Worship and devotion at this time are immensely valuable, as callers proclaim: ‘Is there anyone who seeks forgiveness, so that they may be forgiven? Is there anyone who prays, so that their prayer may be answered?'”
📌 “No remembrance equals the recitation of the Qur’an, which is the best remembrance and a divine miracle. Any remembrance validated by the Qur’an is the best form of remembrance.”
📌 “Reciting the Qur’an is direct combat with Satan; thus, Allah has commanded us to seek His refuge from Satan before we begin.”
📌 “The Tahajjud prayer is the worship of the righteous, and supplication and repentance at this time hold special value.”

Responsibilities_of_Scholars

📌 “If oppression, injustice, sin, and corruption spread in society, it signifies a significant failure for scholars and the righteous, as they have not fulfilled their responsibilities.”
📌 “Calling people toward Allah and guiding them with goodwill is the duty of scholars. Let us fulfill our obligations without delay.”
📌 “The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said to Ali: ‘If Allah guides a single person through you, it is better for you than the world and all it contains,’ for that person is saved from divine wrath and punishment.”
📌 “Allah is pleased with those who serve His servants in religious and worldly matters.”
