‘Sanctity of Mosques & Holy Places must be Preserved’

In a meeting with the Baloch tribe “Isma’eelzahi/Shahbakhsh” in the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader urged on preserving the sanctity of all religious places. The meeting was aimed to support Shaikh Abdol-Hamid and the Grand Makki Mosque.
When the security and military forces surrounded the Makki mosque for two continuous Fridays, this provoked the anger of the people of Sistan-Balochistan. Following these actions, many Islamic schools and some Baloch tribes announced that they would again support Shaikh Abdol-Hamid more strongly. However, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid asked the members of the tribes to stay home and said that he was not satisfied to have public meetings with people once again.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said in this meeting: “All the events in the world are divine tests for humans. Allah Almighty wants to train human beings by testing them with events. There is no doubt that the incident of the Bloody Friday of Zahedan was a test by Allah. In this incident, many worshipers were martyred and hundreds injured.”
“Our people insisted that the government should have been condemned that crime and the murderers and perpetrators should have been punished in any rank they are. We are grateful to you, dear people, for standing by the truth,” the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan said.

We are not dependent on anyone but Allah
The Iranian top Sunni cleric continued: “We are not dependent on any government or anyone except Allah. We are dependent on Allah Almighty, and we love the holy Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. Furthermore, we do not think only for the rights of our own people or sect, and even only for Muslims, but we think about humanity.”
“We believe that the rights of those who do not even believe in God should not be violated. We want the prosperity of the Iranian nation in this world and in the hereafter life,” he added more.

The sanctity of mosques and religious centers must be preserved
The president of Darululoom Zahedan urged on preserving the sanctity of religious places of all faiths and said: “Both the people and the security forces have a duty to protect the sanctity of mosques and religious holy places. Mosques are sacred, and their sanctity is like the sanctity of Kaaba.”
“The sanctity of Mosques and places of worships must be preserved”, he underlined.
