The opening ceremony of the interpretation of the Holy Qur’an and graduation ceremony of some foreign students of Darululoom Zahedan was held in Zahedan, capital of Iranian Baluchistan on Monday 28 Feb. 2022.
Hundreds of people including Ulama, school teachers and common people attended the ceremony. Teacher of this course is Mawlana Abdol-Ghani Badri who has been teaching interpretation of the Qur’an at Darululoom Zahedan for ten years.
Before him, late Mawlana Nematullah Tawhidi and Hafez Ahmad Isma’eelzahi used to teach interpretation of the entire Qur’an within two months of Sha’ban and Ramadan at Darululoom Zahedan.
Shaikh Mohammad Yousuf Rahim Yar Khani from Punjab, Pakistan, the founder of Jamia Usmaniyah Rahim Yar Khan, was the special guest of the meeting.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said in the meeting: “The duty of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil is the inherent mission of Ulama and clerics.
President of Darululoom Zahedan described the religion of Islam and knowledge as two blessings from Allah and said: “Religion of Islam and knowledge are vital and important. We need to seek science and knowledge and pray for increasing it until we are alive”.
“Those who have graduated [from Islamic seminaries] must always study, lesson and teach. On journeys, you should have a book with you and read it whenever you find an opportunity”, the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan emphasized.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said that the graduate students of seminaries should never leave religious activities because of business and should not change their scientific path.
‘This kind of change is dangerous’, he believed.
The most outstanding Iranian Sunni leader considered the service of religion and science as the best business of Allah for clerics and said: “Preaching Islam and service of religion and science are the best businesses for Ulama.”
“The Prophet PBUH had always spent his life on religion not business. The Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him thought us tolerance, piety and patience in the promotion of the religion of Islam. As scholars, we are responsible to guide and reform the society.”
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid pointed out to the teachings of the Qur’an and the Sunnah and said: “The best teaching is the teaching of the Holy Qur’an and the Hadiths. The Qur’an and the Hadith are two resources of Islam and have a mother’s aspect for all sciences. The scholars should teach and serve these two resources”.
President of Darululoom Zahedan called the duty of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil among the inherent duties of Ulama, saying that the graduate students should hold classes of reform and trainings for young people, kids and teens.
“We all have to work for our society and be aware of our inherent duties. We have chosen this path. We should spend our lives in the promotion of Islam and in the service of the society”, said Mawlana Abdol-Hamid in his last points.
The Prophet PBUH changed the community through the Qur’an
Mawlana Mohammad Yousuf, the founder and president of Jamia Usmaniyah Rahim Yar Khan of Punjab, Pakistan said: “The Prophet Muhammad PBUH brought the religion of Islam to the Ummah within 23 years. After the Prophet, the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings of Allah be upon him brought Islam to the world, so today we witness the religion of Islam in every corner of the world. All of these blessings return to the efforts of the Prophet and the Companions”.
“Today, the Muslim population has been increasing more than the past. Muslims have more than fifty countries in the world, but they aren’t in good condition. Many Muslim leaders follow European and Western countries to maintain their powers”, said the prominent political leader of Pakistan.
He believed that the only way to succeed and save Muslims is to follow the Qur’an and the commands of the Shari’ah.
The member of executive body of the JUI Pakistan continued: “We can only bring change to our society through the guidance and teachings of the Qur’an. As Muslims conquered the world through the Qur’an at the beginning of Islam, today’s Muslims can only come to dignity by this book. The Prophet PBUH had changed and brought revolution in the community through the Qur’an”.
“If the Qur’an is in our lives, we will be successful. Along with the teachings of the Qur’an modification is very important. We should not sell the Qur’an to the material things of the world; the Prophet has cursed such people”.
Mawlana Mohammad Yousuf referred to the resistance of the scholars of Deoband against British colonialism and said: “When Britain occupied different countries from the west to the east, the scholars of Deoband endured so many difficulties and stood against the British rule in India until Britain surrendered after seventy years of the struggle and fighting”.
He added more: “The people of Afghanistan fought for more than ten years against the Soviet Union and fought for twenty years against the United States. The world predicted that the United States would never go out of Afghanistan, but Almighty Allah showed that when Muslims trust in Allah, Allah gives them dignity and success”.
“If we recite the Qur’an and act upon all the verses of this great book and preach it, we will definitely be succeed in all aspects of life”, Shaikh Muhammad Yousuf concluded his points.
