Rajab, Sha’ban & Ramadan, Months of Purification

Referring to the virtues of the holy months of Rajab, Sha’ban and Ramadan, the Friday vice-Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan considered these months the best times for self-reformation and purification. He emphasized on proper planning for worshiping Allah in these months and insisted on paying Zakah, offering prayers, giving thanks to Allah for His blessings.
Mawlana Abdol-Ghani Badri was talking to tens of thousands of worshippers in Zahedan’s biggest Friday gathering on February 18, 2022.
The senior teacher of Hadith and Tafsir of Darululoom Zahedan said: “Although we worship Allah in all months of the year, but Rajab, Sha’ban and Ramadan are among special months of worship and communication with the Almighty Allah. The Prophet PBUH used to pray in the months of Rajab and Sha’ban: O Allah bless us in the months of Rajab and Sha’ban and let us reach Ramadan.”
He continued his speech by saying: “In these months, we should have the best programs in worships and in doing good deeds and actions. Monotheism and faith are incomplete without righteous deeds; good deeds also need a strong faith and belief. So we should always have good deeds and the right belief”.
“Money, wealth, children and family members only accompany us to the grave, but our good deeds will benefit us after the death also. We benefit from this world as we need, but the Hereafter life is our goal; so we should always prepare for the hereafter life”, he said.
Shaikh Badri added: “Many people violate the right of Allah to gain wealth and money and commit sin. Many do not pay Zakah and dissatisfy the Lord. We should not dissatisfy our God for material purposes, but should always obey Him with motivation and faith”.
“We should not keep the capital and money in our heart, but should only keep Allah in our heart”, he underlined.
The eminent Baloch Sunni scholar insisted on the purification of the heart in his Friday speech and said: “Courage, generosity, giving alms and charity in the path of Allah, the night prayers and etc. are the fruits and results of purification. Allah sees our deeds and actions and shows them to the Prophet and to the believers”.
Shaikh Badri concluded his points by inspiring Muslims to achieve Allah’s pleasure in the months of Rajab and Sha’ban, increase their worship and good deeds and prepare for the Holy month of Ramadan.
Referring to the passing of four prominent Sunni scholars in Iran from different regions and provinces in the recent days, the interim Friday Khateeb of Zahedan considered these incidents harmful to the community and expressed his deepest sympathy and condolences with the survivors and families of the deceased.
