A prominent Sunni scholar dies

Iran, Kurdistan- Kaak Omar Shapari, an eminent Kurdish Sunni scholar of Iranian Kurdistan, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2012. He was suffering from heart diseases.

A local news website, Eslah, reported that Shaikh Omar Shapari had died due to heart attack in the capital city of Kurdistan, Sanandaj, on early Sunday this week.

He was member of the Executive-board and Ifta & Qadha Council of Maktab-e-Qur’an Movement in Kurdistan. He was one of the close students of late Shaikh Ahmad Muftizade. He had been one of the active members of the Maktab-e-Qur’an Movement since its foundation.
